The estate is beautiful, the food and wines are excellent, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. We especially loved the family-friendly atmosphere, and Wonderdal was a highlight for our 6-year-old son. One small recommendation for families: some dishes in South Africa can be quite spicy, so it's worth checking before ordering for children. Our son became unwell one evening after eating a spicy dish, and the hotel team was incredibly caring, attentive, and supportive throughout the entire situation. Their genuine hospitality made an already amazing stay even more memorable. We would gladly return and highly recommend Hazendal.

On top of being an exceptionally beautiful and well serviced hotel, the hotel also attracts the locals which creates a very nice vibe in the restaurants. The staff was amazingly kind to our little son too. I highly recommend this place to anyone willing to discover Cape Town and the surroundings, far away from the busy streets, and reasonable driving distance to everything.
