„excellent place. We were a party of four with two young kids. The place is newly updated and has a great view. It’s a little tucked away from the beach but is beautiful and the pictures are very accurate. The little area with restaurants right there was a hit. We went to several other beaches and kaihuna beach in front of the plantation was the best by far. Downside - we dealt with a large spider in the bathroom. The cleaning fee was 300 bucks. They only replace towels seems like every other ...

„We had such a wonderful getaway! The resort had nice amenities, the unit was roomy with lovely views from the lanai, and it was located close to the many fun adventures we had. It was a great place to stay on our island getaway!“

„We had a family of 8 staying. The condo is in a good location with the parking lot and easy access to the pool and pickleball court. Each bedroom and living area had air conditioning which was nice to have. Being on the ground floor, the grandkids could run around outside easily. “

„The condo is located on the first floor of a big complex. The balcony is very small, so you need to take all your meals inside. The road is very close and busy with a lot of traffic noise till late evening. Ventilation is very comfortable, there is always a cool breeze. Location is central. One can reach all the wonderful attractions of Kauai in short time. Maintenance company is a little bit bureaucratic, deposit refund late only after query.“

„This was our second or third time in this unit - we love the Makahuena and this unit ticks all our boxes. AC throughout (just make sure it's off in the morning to truly enjoy coffee on the lanai), everything works, it's clean, wonderful communication, no surprises. We will be back again and again.“

„The property was as advertised, with beautiful views and the amenities we needed. Washer-dryer are in the building but plan ahead if you want to use them because it's not open 24 hours. The beaches within walking distance were OK. Better beaches are within short driving distance and a mall with lots of places to eat is within a 15 minute walk“
