The house was very nice, well maintained and equipped. We liked the location and amenities. The only problem was the noise from the feral chickens and cats that were waiting to be fed.

Beautiful home perfectly equipped and situated for a vacation. It was maybe the most well appointed house we’ve ever rented with an impressive kitchen, picnic backpack, etc. we would definitely return.

Family spring break

What an amazing place. Perfect for our family of 4. Had everything we needed and only steps from the beach. Loved the fact kids could run up to house on their own to get something. House is exactly as described. The fans were perfect along with beach breeze and kept everything cool and relaxed! A truly magical experience.

Best equipped rental we have stayed at. Close to the beach. Everything is as advertised. It would be nice to know that you can park under building. Street parking is at a premium. It all worked for us.

Great location, house not ideal for babies or small kids

Check in was smooth. Location was perfect for access to Baby Beach. The house was a little hot for a small child- so maybe not the best house for those with babies or very small children. The main rooms were cool, but the bedrooms were quite hot and stuffy for our 2 year old. There were some ants in the bedroom, even though we did not bring any food in there. Management very responsive to minor issues.Overall a nice stay, I would stay in the area, but probably somewhere with A/C until our kid is older.

We had an amazing stay at the beautiful Hale Malanai! Such a beautiful home with everything needed for a relaxing and fun vacation! We enjoyed dinner on the patio, listening to the waves at night, using the chairs/boogie boards/umbrellas at the beach. It was so nice to be steps from the beach so that we could enjoy sunrises and evenings at the beach! We hope to be able to come back someday and we would love to stay here again! We highly recommend!! Thank you for making our trip so special!!

We walked over to shopping, the stores were close and there were so many restaurants nearby. The house was clean and the kitchen was well appointed. The dishwasher was leaking which we reported and maintenance did come, it leaked again though so hopefully that will get fixed soon. The furnishings were high quality and well taken care of. Overall, we were very satisfied!

So Much Fun!

The property is in a perfect location, close to everything you need. Baby beach is just steps away and a great place to relax away from the crowds. If you want to visit the more popular spots like poipu, it is a minimal drive. You can even walk to restaurants if you aren’t in the mood to cook. The house itself is open and spacious, and got wonderful breezes all day leaving sliding doors open throughout. Our family isn’t the type to stay at resorts, and found this property to be everything we were looking for.

Turtles and monk seals beached themselves. The house is in a great area close to plenty of great food and entertainment.

The design of the house is very well thought out. The fans and windows, especially in the cupola up top, work with the constant breeze to keep the house very comfortable during the day and at night. The location is perfect, with lots of stores and restaurants a quick walk away. Parking underneath the house is super easy and convenient. And the small troupe of sweet neighborhood cats that would visit now and then were the icing on the cake. We will absolutely stay here again.

Found the property in IMMACULATE condition when got there. Very clean and well appointed. Loved the keyless entry, one less thing to keep track of when going snorkeling. 5 minute walk to Lawai beach for snorkeling, 30 second walk (not kidding) to Baby Beach for great sunsets and lounging beach side. Really cool neighborhood feel you don't get staying at a condo complex.Can't wait to stay there again.

Our flights were late and when we arrived at 23:30 the outside and living room lights were on for us. Our two teens loved the front "double bedroom" that they made their own space. We talked and ate for hours every day on the lanai. The kitchen and all linens were extremely well outfitted. The location was fabulous and private parking a bonus. The beach, restaurants, bakeries, fabulous coffee, and shopping are all walkable. Thank you to the owners and Garden Island Rentals for making this house feel like home.

What am amazing home!

My family just got back from the most incredible stay at Hale Malanai. This home literally blew us away and the pictures, although lovely, don't even begin to do it justice. From the moment we walked in we were in love. The home is tranquil, peaceful, and full of light. It is decorated beautifully. Although it only has one true bedroom, it is very spacious and totally comfortable for my family of 4. No air conditioning, but it was truly not needed. It was so lovely opening all the windows and just letting the breeze float through. The views were just amazing, and we spent every morning on the balcony drinking coffee and just soaking it all up. The location by Baby Beach was just awesome and we spent lots of time there. Absolutely can't wait to return!

The best place ever

Wow. This place was paradise!!! Truly the best Vrbo rental I have experienced. Interior was gorgeous, spacious, so comfortable. The lanai!!! Oh my goodness a wraparound lanai with a perfect view of the ocean. Hop over to the beach in 30 seconds. The little bed nook was our son’s heaven —he went there whenever he needed down time and loved it for reading and snoozing. The skylights and peaked ceilings—wow. The perfectly appointed kitchen. And the lovely personal touches, like Hawai-opoly board game that had us cracking up. We loved the kitties. Loved being able to walk to fine dining, grocery, shops—even while feeling tucked away from it all. We will be back! Thank you for an experience of a lifetime.

Great Place to Stay on Kauai

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was exactly as described and is in a wonderful location. Although the property is accross the street, it really is just a few steps from the public access to the beach. The owners seemed to have thoiught of everything to help make your stay more enjoyable. They even have boogie boards, a surfboard, and many guidebooks that are available for use; not to mention all the kitchen appliances you will ever need. It sleeps four comfortably, although one person will need to sleep on a fold down bed. There is no air conditioning but there was a nice breeze blowing thru the house with the windows open. WIthin an hour after moving in, the house had cooled down and stayed comfortable thoughout our stay. Baby Beach is a great place to watch the sunset each evening. We spent the mnornings on the wrap around deck drinking our coffee. It is in a great little neighborhood and within wallking distance to the Beach House restaurant. We would definitely come back!

The home is exactly as we imagined it would be, with ample space to enjoy and a 15 second walk to the beach (good to run to catch the sunrise/sunset, or back if it sprinkles rain!). The house was stocked with absolutely everything you could imagine, and the beds were comfortable.We encountered some very minor maintenance issues but the property managers were prompt and professional to help.The only thing we wish we knew before hand were that there were multiple beach cats who hang out on the property. While very cute, we suffer from very bad cat allergies so it made it hard to enjoy the outside decks with them so close by consistently. Overall - a lovely stay!
