Quiet Calm Tranquility
What an amazing stay! The natural beauty of this house and surroundings is magnificent. We loved the charm of the house and how the owners stayed true to the original design of the old house while adding new modern bathrooms and furnishings. The grandeur of the views in the living room and kitchen takes one’s breath away at the wonder of Gods creation. We loved the quiet peaceful neighborhood and were thankful for the beach so the kids could find unique shells and many fun sea life.

Beautiful Setting
This is a wonderful property. The view is fabulous and it’s so relaxing to sit on the deck and take in the scenery. We saw an eagle , which landed on the tree next to the house and gave us a goodmorning welcome. We also saw osprey, oyster catchers and lots of other sea life. The house is close to La Conner for shopping and we had a nice walk at Padilla Bay. This time of year going to Gordon’s farm is a must. I have never seen so many different kinds of pumpkins, gourds and squash. The house is well appointed with plenty of dishes and lots of extras, like shampoo, soaps, coffee, etc. There was even a lovely rose bouquet on the table. I would recommend this to others.

A lovely house in a great location

This house worked really well for our extended family of parents and three children and their younger families with kids as young as 8 months. The Nest had all the accommodations we needed to be comfortable as a group. We enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks from the public beach and various hikes in the area as well.

Great weekend getaway for family
Our group was me, 2 adult kids and their spouses and one toddler. We had a great time and spent lots of time out on the deck admiring the view and the sunset. (Tip: bring cozy blankets - it's windy on the deck!) Kitchen had everything we needed. Access to the beach at low tide was 4 houses down the street, and there was another large beach down the hill, maybe a public park? Downsides - the lighting really needs to be improved on the main floor. The kitchen is very dark at night and we didn't even know that there was a light over the sink because it was blocked by the hanging pots and pans (a terrible location for that, BTW - my son couldn't even stand up straight to wash dishes). Living room lamps are pretty dim too. The kitchen doesn't have much available storage space for food, so don't bring too much! And the countertop is pretty limited in spite of the listing saying "expansive counters". We were constantly juggling food, dishes and the random things that we all have on kitchen counters during trips. The owners really need to make it clear in the listing that there is NO direct beach access from the house, because the photos are deceiving in that respect (not deliberately, I'm sure). It is mentioned in some reviews as well as the check-in instructions, but it should be in the main listing. The Evolve concierge team was great!

The Great escape
Walking into your home and being able to stand at your expansive walls of windows - the views of the water and islands are phenomenal!!! The interiors are earthtones, which reflects the beauty from the inside out. As far as bedding and linens, I slept so well- very comfortable and warm. Overall...A beautiful home, with everything you need to enjoy and relax . Well equipped, quiet, and just a few minutes away from town. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!!

Girls weekend getaway
The Nest was the perfect getaway spot for our girls weekend. The house fit 6 adults comfortably with room to spare. The covered deck was fabulous to enjoy the view. The kitchen was well appointed also. We would definitely recommend this to others. Take note though the stairwell ceilings are low so anyone tall will need to mind their head :)

This is a beautiful house with a beautiful view! The 10 of us had plenty of room although I must say that we didn't spend lots of time there because the location is so close to so many things! The house was stocked with lots of extras such as chocolates, breakfast items, spices, etc. Jackie texted to make sure we were happy with everything. We were very pleased with our stay.

Not a beach house
This house pulls up under beachfront search but it's not on the beach. While this house is close, it does not have access to the beach from the house. The pictures make it look like you are renting a house right on the beach but you are not. You need to walk down 4 blocks down for a sliver of beach access. The pictures and listing are deceptive. The listing also reads like you have the whole house but you don't. The upstairs is locked. My kids sleep in the basement by themselves. While the basement is nicely furnished and clean it wasn't what we were expecting. Pros: clean, fairly remodeled, nicely decorated, nice porch with view of the water, checkin was easy, and the evile team was easy to contact and responded asap. Lastly, the bed are comfortable but small. TV is every room. Everything has laminated instructions. Well stocked kitchen. Cons: no direct beach access, upstairs where the kids beds are located cost extra, the air conditioning didn't seem to work as it was hot during the day. The windows don't open so we left all the doors open. The fridge door is impossibly to open. The lighting is really poor. On a soft water system with no bottled water. All the lights are low wattage so the house is dark. No salt and pepper (not a big deal). The front main room was not cozy. This was not a bad experience for us but we won't be back. The best thing the owns can do is be more transparent about the property.

Great weekend at The Nest.
The Nest is nicely updated but still has the feeling of a quaint old Fidalgo Island beach cabin with great views to Whidbey Island, Hope Island, Skagit Island, Dewey Beach, Yokeko Point and some wonderful sunsets! Nicely stocked (even beer in the fridge and candy by the bed!!) and comfortably furnished. And Jackie was super responsive and helpful!

This is my second time to stay at The Nest and if I return to LaConner in the future, I would stay here again. You can sit on the deck or inside at the table and watch the bald eagles. The sunset views are incredible. You are 10 minutes from town and less than 30 minutes from Anacortes and the ferry to the San Juan Islands. The property manager is very responsive even to my late night texts. The house is comfortable with lots of room to spread out. I highly recommend The Nest

Perfect getaway for spring break!
This property is amazing, quaint yet modern, and just what we needed. If you are a very tall family you may find the lower ceilings downstairs to be a little tricky, but we were all just fine. The lovely heartfelt touches such as local microbrews and snacks upon arrival were an unexpected treat. The view is unbeatable and the trip to the beach is only 1 minute down the driveway, so having the direct access is really not essential. Thank you so much for a beautiful and relaxing trip!

Another fantastic getaway
This is our second stay at The Nest for our annual ladies' getaway, and it did not disappoint. The house was spotless and fresh, beautifully appointed, and had wonderful extra touches (a welcome note, chocolates by the bed, a few local snacks/beers, bathroom extras, etc.). The property manager was delightful to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. The view is spectacular, the location is fantastic, and the home is warm and cozy. We will be returning for our third annual getaway!

Great family getaway
We truly enjoyed our stay at The Nest! The Nest is a great mixture of modern updates and rustic charm. We cooked breakfast and dinner at home every day, and we were pleased to find good (and clean!) kitchen supplies. The communication w the property management was flawless. Thank you! We appreciated the assortment of local goodies provided to us. I think we consumed them all! Lol!!! Our first day was a sunny day, and we walked on the ferry to Friday Harbor. Our second day was a downpour, and we stayed at the house. We went for lunch at La Conner , Brewery, but went right back to the house. Perfectly fine to sit in the kitchen or the front room to enjoy the beautiful view. The third day we walked around in downtown La Conner. I would highly recommend a stay at The Nest.

My husband, myself and both our moms stayed at “The Nest “ over a long February weekend celebrating my birthday. This place is so charming and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The sunsets where breathtaking and we wished we could stay longer. Relaxing Retreat
This was our second time staying at The Nest. Wonderful, clean and charming old home with comfortable beds, TVs in every room and a view to refresh the soul! The new property manager Jackie was so easy to communicate with and even had a gift basket with snacks and beverages set out for us including treats for our doggie at home, such a thoughtful touch! Beach access is a short stroll from the house. It’s very close to town with all of the restaurants, shops and grocery store. Nice, quiet little neighborhood. I've already recommended this house to several people!
Our family (my senior parents and multiple adult siblings) booked this house for a weekend get together. It was perfect for us! Gorgeous view, peaceful neighborhood to take walks, well-equipped kitchen for making meals together, even some drinks and a basket of snacks left for us to enjoy. We all agreed we would happily stay here again. Sometimes it's challenging to find a vacation rental that works for a larger group so we were very pleased with this home.

Exactly what we were looking for as a quick getaway over the holidays. House was very clean, well appointed, and had a fantastic view of the water. Would definitely visit here again. On our second day there we woke up to a beeping noise - the folks managing the property were quick to respond to my message and quick to resolve the issue (a water filtration issue) within just a few hours of my contacting them.

The views were absolutely amazing from the home, both indoors and on the awesome deck. Short walk down to the rocky beach. The kids loved exploring the tide pools in the morning. Lots of beds & everything was wonderful. One & only down side was that check-in was already so late (4:00pm), but cleaning wasn’t done then so it ended up being about 5:00pm before we could get in. Highly recommend this place.

We loved everything about The Nest! The location was perfect for our visit to the San Juan Islands before crossing over to Olympic. Everything was just as it was advertised, or better. The house is adorable, was perfectly clean, small and cozy yet tons of room, and had everything we needed. It had amazing views of the bay and we enjoyed Bald Eagles and sea otters. So glad to have spent 3 nights at The Nest. Highly recommend if you are contemplating this listing.

Good but not Great
Our stay overall was good. The house is obviously an older home that has been remodeled. What has been done is very nice. The kitchen definitely needs updating. We were very surprised that there was no exhaust fan in the kitchen and no windows that opened in the dining room. The sun beats through the dinning room windows and really heats up the house. We had to keep the window shades closed and the doors open for air flow and to cool the house down. Sitting on the deck in the evening was difficult too because there was nothing there to block the sun. A sun umbrella would have been wonderful. There were only 4 adult chairs outside and all of them were split and cracking. For a place that sleeps so many people, the seating was not available. The only other disappointing thing was the beach access. It was deceiving based on the pictures in the ad. There is NO direct beach access. You have to walk several houses down to a trail and stairway, or the other direction to the boat launch. Parking is also a challenge. I emailed ahead of time asking specially about parking because we had people coming and going daily, but I never did get a response. There is room for 3 vehicles at the house. They provide 2 parking passes for extra parking down by the boat launch. It worked out, I just would have liked communication ahead of time. Otherwise it was clean and a nice get-away.

There is no beach access at the property
The listing pictures show stairs going toward the water, but, there is no actual access here. The beach access is a short walk in one direction or a short drive in the other. We walked there several times a day so it wasn’t an issue in the end, but I was not aware of the lack of beach access before reading the check-in information. Great property. Very clean. Really cool art and details. Perfect deck. Overall 5 stars.

Nice place, kids like the "loft" area. I am 6'3" and the ceilings are short downstairs and in the loft. But the rest of my group was under 5'8 and did not have problems. The one drawback was that the house has no direct beach access, but the allowable access is close (a few houses down the street) and there is a community area and beach to use about 2-3 blocks away. We had brought a canoe thinking we would be able to launch right off the back of the house based on the photos, but we had to pack it in the truck to and from the boatlaunch. Not a big deal at all but would have been nice to know beforehand. The on-call contact was responsive and helpful. Would stay again.
