« Well maintained; Owner was responsive when we had questions. When the coffee maker didn't work, a new one was delivered the same day! Very convienient to Starved Rock, Buffalo Rock and Matthiessen State Parks. Enjoyed the fire pit out back in the private yard. »

« We love staying at Elaine's properties. They are warm and homey. Everything you need is there for you and it's an added bonus we can bring our pups. »

« This was a good place to stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms stocked with supplies. The steps to the unit needed to be cleaned better. A couple of convenient outlets need to be fixed to work. »

« Very nice, comfortable home. Exactly as advertised and would stay here again although next time I’m stealing the recliner (it was amazing and we all fought over it.) Elaine was an excellent communicator even giving us warning steps when inclement weather came through. »

« We loved the small, charming town of Utica. Starved Rock State Park is a jewel, and we enjoyed our hikes. If Notre Dame could have beaten Miami in football, we’d have been over the moon. Just love the size, character, and back yard of Landers House! »

« We really enjoyed staying at this property. The house was clean and well stocked, there were even amenities for our pups like bowls, pick up bags, treats and toys! It's so hard to find a property that takes larger dogs, but this was not a problem here. The fenced yard was perfect for late night let outs and running around. The location is perfect for accessing Starved Rock and Mathiessen state parks with a very useful write up of different hikes at Starved Rock provided in our welcome materials....

« We wanted to get away for a couple days to see fall colors and hike near Starved Rock. This little house in the small town of DePue IL perfectly met our expectations. We had a great time looking at all the interesting decorations. While in DePue be sure to get a pork tenderloin at Casford’s Crossing! »

« The house was the perfect size for my two kids and I. Everything was clean and exactly as described in the listing. The house felt very home-y and the kids loved all the books, toys, and the rock painting. The neighborhood was quiet, and everything was just a short drive away. Would definitely stay here again. »
