Visited for a week in March 2019 with my two adult sons. The owner, Francoise was very helpful, and the chalet was clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable; wood pellet burning stove in the dining room for heating was straightforward, but turn it off at night as it gets hot and back on in the morning to warm the place up. We weren’t cold at all during our stay. Kitchen has all you need, although not having saucepan lids must be a French thing as the place we stayed at in 1800 in January didn’t have them either. A nice touch was that Francoise provided clothes washing capsules and dishwasher tablets and all those things you end up having to buy just to use 5 of in rhe mountains. The chalet has a quirky layout with the downstairs comprising entrance, kitchen, shower, toilet and dining room with the pellet stove then you walk up a space saving stairs to two bedrooms, one with a sloping roof with twin beds in and the other main double with a nice bed, wardrobe, sofa, table and some chairs. Views great. For the skiing you have to walk down hill, through the Cocoon hotel carpark to the 4 man chair, about 5 mins walk away; if you are a reasonable skier then you can ski back to the chalet off piste from the black run near by, otherwise its a return walk uphill. There is no parking at the chalet in winter, so you park in one of the main public car parks near the ski lift. Boulangerie is about 10 minutes walk, or 15 mins to the Spar supermarket. We ate at the Loup Blanc which was okay, Grizzly in Plagne Village which was excellent and a superb pizza restaurant at the bottom of the Roche lift, otherwise in the chalet. My only frustration was that the wifi didn’t work which is annoying in this day and age. We could get by on our phone data, but the signal drops all the time if you want to stream anything. The wifi at the chalet is provided by a 4G dongle, rather than a proper connection, but if that could be fixed it would have been perfect. Overall, enjoyed being out in the mountains with my sons and nothing about the chalet would put me off renting it again.
