Okay so I feel like this stay gave me a bit of whiplash. We had just come from 7 nights in a giant clean and modern cottage in the Irish countryside and came into Lahinch which this location cannot be beat. I’ll give it that. It’s steps but bars, shops, restaurants, cafes, the ocean boardwalk/prom, which you’ll see the most breathtaking sunsets. I honestly feel like I could live in this town long term. The apartment itself is very loud, creamy, and you can hear everything outside and on either side from the neighbors. There is no AC which I know is common for EU but there’s no screens in the windows so if we wanted air flow it came with the cost of flies. There were dead flies, alive flies, and we killed 7 spiders alone on the first check in night. All the furniture is frayed, scratched, stained or broken. There are dozens of screw heads sticking out on the walls I’m guessing that used to hang decorations but many were as the height of our toddlers and my youngest cut her arm on one in the downstairs bathroom. There was no dish soap provided or any kitchen cooking basics. The hand soap in the bathrooms has been watered down to almost no soap at all so we had to buy all our own paper towels, dish soap, hand soap and shampoo and conditioners and body wash even though we were here for two nights. We’re just donating them to the property as we cannot taken them with us. I would absolutely return to Lahinch but would probably choose another location. PS: sketchy parking
