  • Belle maison au bord du lac. Première fois sur le marché locatif, cette maison dispose de quatre ponts de rassemblement spacieux et d'une pièce à étaler. Beaucoup d'espaces de vie intérieurs et extérieurs ainsi qu'une salle de billard. Immense terrasse ensoleillée au sommet d'un hangar à bateaux à 2 stalles. Kayaks et paddleboards inclus avec la location. Renseignez-vous auprès du propriétaire concernant la location d'un ponton de 20 '. 3 lits king, 2 reines, 1 lit simple, 3 lits pliants et 2 berceaux pack-n-play. Cuisine entièrement équipée. House reçoit actuellement de la peinture fraîche et du nouveau tapis, ainsi que la mise à jour de certains meubles. Photos à venir.

This was a great property for our family. Dad, Mom and 4 teenagers. our kids were able to enjoy having their own rooms, which they loved. There were plenty of games and things to do. They loved jumping off the boathouse along with the kayaks and paddle boards. We had no complaints about anything there. If we were to be picky- the dishwasher needs some attention along with some broken tile right at the laundry entrance. (it was partially hidden by the carpet.) Our family had a wonderful time and looking at going back next year with friends.

This is a beautiful home and property. Very quiet and relaxing and we found things to do despite the lake being drawn down. We can't wait to go back.

Wow -- this was all it was advertised. The place was VERY well equipped with all the kitchen utensils -- very clean. The balconies off each bedroom was a plus each providing views of the lake. The lake was almost back to normal-- they were doing a soft opening the following week. So glad the area is getting back to normal.Ali was great communicating with us when we did have questionsGreat find

Wonderful place to stay on Lake Lure!

We had a great time with our family at Idle Speed! The hosts were great and the house was just perfect! Beautiful spot on the lake, very clean, lots of great porch space and hang out space! We also enjoyed being close to some great hiking spots and the Chimney Rock area.

Host was very responsive. We loved the house! So many great outdoor spaces/porches to enjoy hanging out together, enjoying some quiet time, puzzling, fire pit, enjoying the amenities,walking, etc.There were 11 in our group. And plenty of room for everyone! We enjoyed the local shops and restaurants too! Cherokee and Asheville are within driving distance. Grocery store within 15 minutes.Highly recommend!!

Amazing Home!

We absolutely loved this place. We have rented through VRBO for several years and multiple properties and we all agreed this one may have been our favorite. We want to come back in the summer and jump off the boathouse!

Summer Mini vacation

We had an absolute amazing time here! The house itself was great with the well-stocked kitchen, great bedroom layout, and fun things to do like pool and ping pong. And everyone loved the lake amenities - kayaks, paddle boards, floating water mat, and a great deck to sit and play games and just enjoy the lake. Can't wait to come back and spend more time here!

We loved our time at Lake Lure and at Ali's lakefront house. The place was amazing! It is in a little cove so although you see the boats, kayaks, and paddle boards go by you still have the cove to swim in away from the main traffic. The boat house was amazing and we all mustered up the courage to be able to jump from the top into the lake. There were plenty of Kayaks, floats, paddle boards and life jackets so that anyone who wanted to be on the lake could be. And I must have missed the pictures of the house from the lake, cause the stairs to and from the boat house/deck to the main house were no joke! Even if someone didn't want to make the trip down the lake, the view from the main floor was amazing. With so many people in one house it didn't often feel crowded. The extra crib beds for the two babies we brought along were a life saver. The place was very clean, spacious, and inviting. Ali was very responsive to my messages. It was an amazing weekend and a great way to spend my 40th birthday with family. I definitely would suggest booking this place for an amazing stay!

Golf trip

Great property, best supplied/equipped I’ve ever seen, multiple living/gathering areas, clean and tidy inside. We were 6 60 golfers that enjoyed the property immensely. The area is still struggling to recover from Helene but Kieth and Ali are on the top of their game! Highly recommend!

Watching the work being done to restore the lake was fascinating. The roads were accessible between Lake Lure and both Asheville and Hendersonville. We were able to get in some apple picking on one of our trips to the Hendersonville area. The dining options were plentiful, particularly as you got closer to the weekend. The pool table and fire pit were great. Owners were very responsive when needed.

A great getaway

Our family had a wonderful stay at Idle Speed. The accommodations were great and our kids loved the game room. We really loved how easy it was for guests to enjoy the lake with plenty of kayaks, paddle boards, and floats ready to use. The cove is perfect to hang out in the water and not have to worry about boat traffic. We would love to return!

Wonderful week at idle speed

Idle speed was the perfect home for our family of 10…4 children ages 5-8 and 6 adults. The house was comfortably decorated, clean, and in a great location situated in a cove, and minutes to the town of lake lure. Ali and Keith were wonderful hosts, readily available when needed.

Family gathering

This was an excellent choice for our family to gather for the week. The house was comfortable for all and well supplied. Lake Lure is a beautiful vacation spot and we loved all the porches and views from each bedroom. We especially enjoyed the times we took the boat out. Ali and Keith were so friendly and responsive to any questions. We would definitely recommend staying at this wonderful home on the lake.
