Great Family Vacation

We loved our stay here at this home in Lake Lure! It was nice to be close to the resort if we chose to enjoy the activities but was also removed enough to feel private and quiet. It was clean and had just enough of what you would need. We loved the golf cart. The host was available and easy to work with. 5 stars!

Our stay was seamless and easy to communicate with the owners. The property is beautiful, and their place was amazing. Everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We loved the decor throughout their home. They had a lot of amenities throughout the home.

Having coffee on the balcony in the autumnal foliage was perfect! The condo is so close to the resort amenities! It was so convenient for the wedding we were attending there. And the house was so clean and cozy, 10 out of 10!

Loved our weekend away

The condo was amazing. Through the trees on the back deck, we could see the lake which was really nice in the morning and evening. Derek called me about two days before to run through any questions and give me the run down, so it was nice to get a more personal touch. The condo is fully stocked. We needed nothing extra. The condo was super clean and beautifully decorated. One bit of advice.... We came at night and it was super dark and no one had their porch lights on so keep that in mind if you are arriving late. You are in the mountains and it's very dark! The kids had plenty to do with the game room in the basement as well as the amenities of rumbling bald which we took full advantage of. Supermarket is relatively close by (15 minutes ) and there is almost no door dash or Instacart available so come prepared- once you are there you won’t want to leave. There is a coffee shop at rumbling bald so we really never had to leave other than to explore the areas. We would recommend this condo for a short stay at Lake Lure.

Quiet and Beautiful Property

Our family stayed here over the weekend to attend a wedding close by. The property was very clean and the surrounding areas were quiet. My daughter (age 2) was able to enjoy the pool and playground. While on the beach, the views of the lake nestled in the mountains is just picturesque. It was a great stay for all ages.

Short and Sweet Get-Away

The condo was beautiful! It had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We would definitely love to come back sometime. Things that would have made it better — 1) understanding how long it takes to drive anywhere to get food (in the future, we would bring breakfast and lunch foods with us to free up some time) and 2) understanding that the pool/lazy river closes at the resort after Labor Day (it was the main amenity we wanted to enjoy). We drove up the road to Apple Valley pool and were allowed in with the amenity card, but still, it took precious time out of our short stay to figure all of it out. Despite these things, Lake Lure is gorgeous and the hike up to Chimney Rock is so much fun! Can’t wait for our next trip there!

Great getaway in the mountains

Derek’s condo was great getaway, we had minor issue with some sugar ants getting to some muffins we left out and Derek had a solution within 30 mins that solved our issue, we didn’t see a single ant after. The property is very nice , quiet and relaxing. The resort has a lazy river , outdoor / indoor pool, sauna , steam room, beach & lake. Also some pretty tasty places to dine at, as well as get breakfast. Make sure you bring some floaties for the beach and rent a golf cart at the wellness center to explore the property. Everyone was very welcoming and I’ll definitely revisit this rental property. Thanks again Derek for everything !

Lovely Spot

We had everything we needed for a lovely getaway to Lake Lure. There were fun surprises like beach chairs and pac-man which made the stay even better. Rumbling bald is perfect for families. Add this one to your list. The owners were responsive and informative, too.
