THIS PROPERTY IS A BOARDING SCHOOL DORM!! I will admit that when I put our Iceland trip together, this was our last hotel outside of Reykjavik. It was the only hotel available, the reviews were decent, and I didn't do any additional due diligence. However, this doesn't change the fact that we were really unhappy when we learned that we were staying in a tiny, cramped dorm room that lacked enough curtains to cover the windows (it was still light out at midnight). Also, there isn't an elevator, so be ready to lug your suitcases up the stairs.
Dinner was served in the boarding school cafeteria. The staff was really nice, but we were in a boarding school cafeteria, and the food wasn't much better.
