« The Paddler's Retreat is REALLY out of the way. We enjoyed our stay however, people need to understand that all services are limited. Due to Covid there is only a very limited breakfast, mostly cold. If you want tea, you will need to use the microwave. The range is not available. Furthermore, the options are more limited for dinner. There is only a gas station / limited eatery that stop serving at 6:30pm. The little town, Confluence is about 5 miles away. After that you are out of luck. There...

« The suite was so unique but very comfortable. The owner was a great host and made sure we had anything she could assist us with. We loved sitting on the front porch in the evenings. The locals walking by either spoke or stopped and chatted a while. So relaxing and so nice to see such friendly people. Only place to stay as far as I’m concerned. Loved it! »

« Dawn was a kind and gracious host! We were in a hurry for check in due to a nearby event and she walked us through in record time. Her house is immaculate and the downstairs can entertain a nice sized group, while still being comfy and cozy when it's just the two of you. « On a trip to do family and historical research with my husband. The entire property was quaint, and the interior rooms were spotless. Donna and Rick were wonderful hosts- making delicious breakfasts each morning. Also wonderful to end the day of hiking in the wet conditions in front of a roaring fire in the firepit, ducks in the pond, and crickets and treefrogs singing. »

"Je n'attendais pas grand chose de cet établissement à part un lieu simple et propre pour faire étape. J'ai découvert une chambre au charme désuet (passons), à la moquette crasseuse et baignée par une forte odeur de renfermé et tabac froid. La climatisation était assourdissante et il a fallu l'éteindre pour fermer l'oeil. Mais le comble fut de découvrir aprÚs une mauvaise nuit que j'avais été piquée par des punaises de lit, avec une belle allergie en prime. La médiocrité du petit-déjeuner est-elle pertinente à relever ? Un conseil, passez votre chemin !"
