- Immerse yourselves in the astounding beauty of the Yorkshire Dales when you book this traditional farmhouse near Harmby. Set in glorious, rolling countryside, the two-bedroom, stone hideaway sleeps four guests and welcomes pups, making it a great option for a small family or couples. Set 120 shared acres of land with a river ,where you can picnic, there is plenty here for everyone to enjoy.
Wander inside to find cottage-style décor and a warm welcome. Shed your wellies, walking boots and jackets in the hall and head on into the elegant lounge, with its white-washed, beamed ceiling. Light the wood burner to throw a cosy glow across the room, then watch the Smart TV or gaze out at the beautiful scenery. The kitchen/diner is bright and airy, with a farmhouse feel. Brew pots of steaming Yorkshire tea in here and rustle up hearty English breakfasts for your family members or friends to enjoy before they hike out across the Dales. Gather round the table in the evening to discuss your day over a bottle of good wine. As night falls, head upstairs to indulge in a superb night’s sleep in one of the bedrooms. These include a double and a twin, each with an en-suite shower room and the double with the added luxury of a freestanding bath within the room. Soak up the Yorkshire sunshine out on the stone terrace. Have coffee out here on warm mornings as the mist rises from the fields. Enjoy a stroll by the river or take the children to meet the farm animals. There is parking for two cars.
Plan a trip to the impressive Aysgarth Falls, 9.5 miles away. Children and adults alike will also be wowed by the enchanting Forbidden Corner, 6 miles away, with its intriguing caves, tunnels and follies.
