Preparing Hen parties is already our speciality. :) If you don’t mind, just a quick note about the distance to the nightlife & supermarkets: both are located in Ericeira (4 kms away). We leave phone numbers for several taxis on the fridge door that can take you there and back at anytime for just 7 Euros. Also, there’s a local supermarket (800 meters away) that deliveres groceries directly to the villa. Other services such as pizzas delivery, water activities, massages, yoga in the villa and much more are just a phone call or sms away! We take care of everything! Dear Jelena I’m sorry but I have to present the facts of what happened during your stay in our villa: 1. You rented our villa for 14 people but arrived about 35 people. We exceptionally allowed it only because we didn’t want to ruin your birthday. 2. You started a RAVE party going all night long until the morning. The excessive noises coming from the huge speakers that you brought (without our consent) were so loud that the police went over and shut it down. 3. Our ad states clearly that we dont allow pets but your guests decided to bring dogs. Don’t take me wrong, I love dogs! But they can easily create severe damages to the villa. Our future guests expect a perfect villa, not a damaged one. 5. This is a non smoking villa. There was a terrible smell of smoke and ashes throughout the villa and SPA. We spent a lot of money to clean everything and leave it perfect again. Regarding what you mentioned in your review:cameras(a), hot water, spa(b), neighbors(c), deposit(d): a) I really can’t imagine any luxury villa without a security system. We have this system a long time and never had any issues with anyone. There are security cameras set (only) on the outside, aiming to the surroundings of our villa. This is for our own security and our guests too. The system is mentioned right at the entrance of our property, in compliance with the Portuguese law. b) You never mentioned anything about missing hot water or issues with the SPA. Not even a simple SMS. Its an unfortunate that I’m getting that information through your review. c) Any future guest can check our geolocation on homeaway and even street view our villa before booking. There are neighbors. However, only 1 or 2 actually live there during most part of the year. But they don’t bug anyone...unless you're having a crazy party through all night til the morning. d) There were found several damages in the villa. For example the floor inside the villa and the lawn outside were damaged because of the dogs. I’m sorry but we had to keep the damage deposit. Parties: We proudly welcome all kinds of parties every year. Hen & stag parties, birthdays, professional events, etc. Anyone can check that on the the testimonies left on our almost 70 reviews. I regret that things didn’t turn out well with your party. In any case, our doors will remain open for you in the future as long as our property is treated respectfully. Hi John Thank you very much for choosing our villa and also for your kind review. I'll get more info about the limited taxis in the area. Alternatively our big groups of guests can always schedule in advance with our transfers company several trips on the mini bus with capacity for 20 people. This company also guarantees the transfers to the activities booked by our guests, with direct pick up in our villa. The weather was not always sunny during your stay but the investment we made in building the SPA in our gardens and heating our pool add quality time to our guests in any circumstances. :) Finally, thank you very much for taking good care of our villa and for leaving it in impeccable conditions! Ofcourse I haven't forgot your kind suggestions: 1) Clothes line: I will keep in mind your suggestion as an alternative to our actual clothes horse and also to our drying machine. You're right. Altough it will save us lots of electricity, I will still keep the drying machine. :-) 2) Lights around the BBQ: It's done! I have installed an automatic powerfull light projector and now our guests can BBQ during the night as if it was day time. 3) Patio heaters: I will definitely consider buying one to heat the winter cool nights around the cinema!
