« A lovely old-fashioned hotel in a stunning setting. Comfortable, clean, cozy. On arrival we were surprised to find nobody there even though we'd waited for reception opening time. Our keys were in a plastic bag pinned to a cork board. Explanations were confusing. Breakfast was an epic adventure. The gas stove had broken down and a tremendous effort was made by staff to provide us with a very good Welsh breakfast that was well worth waiting nearly an hour for. Par contre la literie avec des matelas à ressorts et des lits pour deux assez étroits, par rapport à ce qui se fait pour ce prix, ce n'est pas acceptable. On a signalé qu'on avait mal dormi quand on nous a demandé si tout allait bien, sans plus de considération. Pour dßner, prévoir 2h de service. L'espace piscine est vieillissant. »

« Absolutely loved our quick little get away. Lovely remote area and amazing for stars at night. The cottage was a good size even with a toddler running about. The welcome basket was a saving grace and loved the bara brith (ordered more to take home as gifts too). We went into Llandeilo which had not many but lovely shops and on one of our days drove for about an hour to get to folly Farm. It was nice and relaxed and the hot tub was so comfy. « We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was very cosy and well equipped. The setting is stunning with beautiful countryside and a haven for wildlife. It was lovely to see the otter and so many different birds, the woodpeckers being our favourite. Angela and Shaun have obviously worked very hard to make this into a special place to come and stay. If you want some peace and quiet, this is the place to be. Sitting in the hot tub, overlooking the lake is a blissful way to enjoy a glass of wine...

« Lovely big, clean room with a sofa, table, chairs, huge bed and a gorgeous view. Loads of parking and a nice garden to enjoy. All the staff were very friendly, efficient and very helpful. The evening meal, Chicken Supreme, was fantastic and so was the breakfast (porridge with blueberry compote). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and can't wait to stay again. »
