EMPLACEMENT EMPLACEMENT! Notre lumineux, excentrique, spacieux appartement de deux chambres avec terrasse sur le toit se trouve dans un emplacement exceptionnel avec de nombreux sites majeurs de Londres (Tate Modern, Southbank, Borough Market, London Eye, St Paul) Ă  quelques minutes Ă  pied. Pour ceux qui veulent ĂȘtre au milieu de tout avec un accĂšs facile aux aĂ©roports. Deux chambres avec un canapĂ©-lit d'angle confortable dans le salon (** attention: notre salon a un grand atrium dans le plafond alors prĂ©parez-vous Ă  vous rĂ©veiller avec le soleil!). V. adaptĂ© aux familles. Notre maison est un appartement londonien convivial, spacieux, spacieux et lumineux, avec terrasse privĂ©e sur le toit, WIFI, tĂ©lĂ©vision (Netflix et 100 chaĂźnes), lave-vaisselle, machine Ă  laver, sĂšche-linge et commoditĂ©s. C'est un chez-soi parfait. Comme vous pouvez le constater sur les photos, il s’agit d’un grand et bel appartement de deux chambres situĂ© tout prĂšs de la Tate Modern. Au milieu de tous les arts et de la culture de la rive sud. Vous ne trouverez nulle part plus prĂšs du centre de Culture Mile que cet appartement! 2 lits doubles, plus 1 canapĂ© lit d'angle, baignoire, douche, lave-linge, sĂšche-linge, four, plaques de cuisson, lave-vaisselle, micro-ondes, rĂ©frigĂ©rateur, congĂ©lateur. EntrĂ©e sĂ©curisĂ©e. Armoire encastrĂ©e dans la chambre. SituĂ© sur trois Ă©tages. Maximum de six personnes. Notre maison est pour ceux qui aiment ĂȘtre au milieu des choses - ce n'est pas une route de campagne tranquille, c'est le centre de Londres avec ses habitants, sa culture, ses Ă©motions, ses bruits et ses lumiĂšres brillantes. Il peut y avoir beaucoup de monde Ă  l'extĂ©rieur, mais les fenĂȘtres sont insonorisĂ©es et la plupart des clients sont surpris par le calme de l'appartement. Si vous n'ĂȘtes pas habituĂ© Ă  vivre dans un centre-ville, vous voudrez peut-ĂȘtre des bouchons d'oreilles. Il y a beaucoup d'hĂŽtels Ă  proximitĂ©, donc il y a beaucoup de monde. Le week-end, des concerts de jazz sont organisĂ©s dans le bar, Ă  quelques portes de lĂ . Une nuit d'Ă©tĂ©, vous pourrez dĂźner sur la terrasse privĂ©e sur le toit et profiter du jazz et des sons de Londres, ce qui est particuliĂšrement utile si vous avez des enfants endormis au rez-de-chaussĂ©e et que vous ne pouvez pas rester tard!

The appartment is well located and could be really nice with a bit of maintenance. We were disappointed by the shower that leaks, some broken furniture and the fact that heating system stops at night so we were really cold. Otherwise, the view is nice, beds were good, and every kitchen equipment worked.

Worth every penny to stay in this wonderful VRBO. We loved being in the heart of everything, bustling trains, parties on either side of us, with a rooftop view to allow us to be part! Our white noice apps were enough to allow us to sleep with the windows open. The icing on the cake was that we were just a ten minute walk to Borough Market! Inside, once you take Ruth's advice and open the windows, the house is prefectly breezy on a hot day. There are a lot of steps, so be warned, this isn't a handicap accessible home. We made use of the washer and dryer(!). Ruth was amazing to work with, we would happily return to this lovely home.

The house is three minutes walk distance from the closest underground station “Southwark”, and many bus stops are located within 5 min walk. The place made us feel like at home, and the host was always helpfull.

1) There was a great deal of cracked and flaking paint present that cast an air of dinginess upon entering the property which never let up. 2) The towels were of very poor quality and the shower offered insufficient water delivery. 3) The overall level of value was lacking. For measurably less money my friend and I could have each booked a room at the hotel around the corner and we each could have had a better room and better shower. (We stayed there a total of six nights prior to our stay here.) 4) Except for the excellent and desirable location, it would be difficult to recommend these accommodations to anyone I know traveling to London.

The flat was perfect for our family of four. It was centrally located and close to the tube. My youngest enjoyed the toys and games. We made good use of the washer and dryer and the rooftop access. And the WiFi was fast and easy to access. One small thing to note is that you can hear the tube go by but we used a sound machine at night and it didn’t bother us.

Close to several tube stations, taxis are abundant, and walking to Borough market, local groceries, and other local spots is reasonable. Standard walk up to first floor beds and second floor kitchen. fantastic value for money. Immediately responsive to how to get in, even when i already had instructions, washer and dryer were very helpful. overall a recommended location, especially for the price. pub next door, and restaurants all around. Even a few kids toys to keep younger ones busy for a few minutes. You'd have to be pretty particular to find flaws with this inexpensive accessible location.

This flat is in a vibrant location with great proximity to everything you could want for a stay in London, whether walking or using the tube/trains. You do need to be a little careful of the sets of stairs...steep.

We (family of 4, 2 children 6 and 8) stayed here for 6 nights. We were 5 minutes from the Southwark tube station, and a 20 minute walk to the London Eye/Big Ben. There were several convenience stores in the area for items to keep in the rental. There were also various pubs and restaurants within a 3 minute walk and directly across the street as well. The games and living room available here made an incredible difference over other rentals and hotels. Our kids went straight to the puzzles and it was the perfect place for down time in between stops around the city.

Leider war die Unterkunft nicht gepflegt , Möbel teilweise defekt,und durch mehrere Pubs und Restaurants sehr laut.Eigentlich ist es toll, daß eine KĂŒche mit allen GerĂ€ten vorhanden war,aber es fehlte doch Einiges an Grundausstattung wie Besteck etc.Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin lief per E-Mail Vielleicht haben wir Deutsche aber auch andere Vorstellungen.FĂŒr den Preis kann man vielleicht in London auch nicht mehr erwarten.

The owner told us there would be parking across the street from the vrbo. The closest parking is 15 minutes away. The unit was not cleaned before our stay so there were used towels, sheets and dishes to wash before we could use them and there was garbage everywhere. Even if it had been cleaned the unit is fithy. Stains on the walls, carpeting and couch. Then while we were packing to leave the cleaner barged in an hour early and made herself a coffee, cigarette in hand and insisted on starting to clean. WE WEREN'T EVEN OUT THE DOOR YET, WE PAID FOR THAT TIME!

With apologies to Ruth, this place is kind of a dump. There are two large holes in the wall in the entryway. The walls are scuffed up. The carpet is dirty. The dresser in one of the bedrooms was missing the front of the drawer, which was stacked in the corner of the room (along with some rolled up rugs), while the fan in the other bedroom was missing the front grill. The grout has fallen out of much of the bathroom tiles bathroom tiles and there’s lime buildup around the kitchen sink in the shower plumbing. The sofa had black cat hair on it and one of the bedrooms smells like an animal has been living in it. My daughter is allergic to cats and had a serious reaction the first night so she had to take antihistamines for the rest of our stay. Some if the dishes were dirty. There were also no instructions at all, including how to light the burners on the stove since the igniter doesn’t work (we finally found some matches in a cabinet). Overall, the place is poorly maintained, smells like an animal lived there, and needs to be fixed up and cleaned well. Very disappointing.

We had the best stay at this apartment in the Southwark area of London. It was not only a great space that allowed for our small family to spread out, but it also had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We also totally fell in love with the area. There were lots of great restaurants, pubs, and cafes all within walking distance. It was in an area where you could get away from the touristy sites, yet they were all just a super easy walk or tube ride away. We enjoyed our stay so much that we had hoped this apartment was available when we came back through London on our travels. Ruth was prompt and kind and wonderful to talk to and made the whole process super easy. We will definitely look forward to staying here again!

We have just returned from a long weekend staying in this super little house right in the middle of London. Although the decor is a tad tired and would benefit from a refresh the position of the accommodation is perfect for anyone wishing to walk to a whole host of attractions in the centre of the city. Waterloo station is a few minutes walk, as is the Imperial War Museum and Tate Modern. London Bridge, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, Westminster, The London Eye, The Mall, The Strand, The national Gallery, etc, etc; they are all well within walking distance. The house is right in the heart of Southwark, with its busy street life. The atmosphere is excellent and, to cap it all, there is a superb cafe around the back called "Over the Road" that does a brilliant breakfast! The accommodation is great, providing comfortable sleeping for 6, a well equipped kitchen, with microwave, conventional oven, kettle, dishwasher and washing machine, cutlery and crockery etc and there are plenty of books and board games if that's your bag, not to mention a large TV. Wifi is fast and the bathroom comes well equipped. Access to the building was very easy and communications with the owner were prompt and clear. The heating for both the accommodation and water was easy to control and the house was very cosy and comfortable at night time. Due to the time of year (December) we didn't make use of the roof terrace except to have a quick look but what an excellent place to enjoy a G&T on a warm evening; far removed from the hustle and bustle of the streets below. We had a great time and will most definitely stay there again if it's available the next time we are staying in London for a few days. I recommend it most highly.
