Rooms a bit tired but clean overall . Staff very helpful and breakfast was very good . Location was very good , a bit noisy at night but not a problem .

Veldig hyggelig personale med god service. Frokosten er bra. Rommet var litt slitt og ganske trangt. Dusjen var dÄrlig, men det var rent. Vi fikk rom mot Themsen og det var rolig.

The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly and attentive. It was perfect for the needs of myself and my husband after going to Kew The Music.

Schone maar gedateerde kamer en badkamer. Het is was heel warm in de kamer (buiten overdag rond de 24graden), raam kan maar klein stukje open maar dat is ivm lawaai op straat en vliegtuigen niet aan te raden. Er was wel een (oude half kapotte) fan maar dat hielp maar weinig.

Great location, value for money, clean and tastefully decorated room with ensuite instead of a shared bathroom, lovely guy who greeted us at reception despite us checking in late at night.

Nice, budget-friendly hotel

Excellent service, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room on the top floor overlooked the river and was surprisingly quiet with very little outside noise. The buffet breakfast was very good with a decent selection of items to choose from. Wide choice of local restaurants for eating out, and well placed for walks along the Thames. This hotel was selected because it was a short bus ride from Kew Gardens. Would definitely stay here again and can recommend to others looking for a fairly-priced hotel.

great location

Outside looks a bit tatty, but inside it is freshly decorated and very clean. The room was very small, the smallest one I have been in apart from Singapore. We chose the hotel because of its proximity to Kew Gardens and Hampton Court and used the buses to get to them. Kew is walkable if you have young legs! but it is such a huge place, we went on 2 days and still didn't see everything. The staff were helpful and friendly and a good continental breakfast. The bed was small and lumpy. The room was very warm so we needed the window open, which was noisy because of the main road outside.

Very helpful service. Great breakfast buffet. Rather tired second floor room - the dressing table was wobbly - and annoyingly one of the overbed lights was missing. Towels were good, bed comfortable. In a rather quaint part of Richmond - don't miss the wonderful art deco flower shop front on the road up the hill opposite!

Good location

A handy location in central Richmond, bed was comfy and there was a decent continental breakfast. Only downside, on a Friday night there was a lot of noise from the street, despite the double glazing, until well past midnight. If you want an early night at the weekend, ask for a rom at the back! other than that a decent place to stay.

Disappointing

There was a screw sticking out about an inch from the bath panel where it had not been screwed back in. Although check out is 11am we had house keeping knocking on the door at 10am to clean the room!

The room is a bit tired looking & small, a few things need fixing or p8 but the hotel location is excellent, the staff are really friendly, breakfast is nice & plentiful and most of all, the riverside room is very quiet, never heard a noise. Don't go there if you are looking for a plush room in a grand hotel, this is not for you but if you are looking for a good value hotel in the heart of Richmond, then this is it.

Friendly place in excellent location

Hotel reception staff (Monika) extremely helpful, warm and welcoming, particularly when booking and no twin beds advertised on web site, even though available. She released one for us. Room was small, but spotlessly clean, although tired and in need of updating. View of Thames. TV impossible to watch as pixellating constantly. Beds extremely comfortable, power shower and small bath. Cold buffet breakfast very good and plenty of variety. A lot of steps to climb to 2nd floor, so not suitable for anyone with a disability and no lift. No parking when it states on website there is. Room faced onto river so very quiet at night, even with window open. Excellent location as 5 minute walk into main town area and to river. Would stay again at the price as good value for money in Richmond!

Hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. Carpets are old and dirty near skirting boards. Bath sealeant is coming away from the wall.

Good position

Was a bit concerned after reading some reviews but problems other people had mentioned did not arise. Although the room was on the small side it had every thing we needed granted the décor of the room and certainly the bathroom could do with an up grade it was clean the room was very quiet we slept very well and the hotel itself was very well placed in the centre of the town for restaurants and bars well worth the money it cost the breakfast was fine though we would have liked the option of a full english
