Lovely staff, great location and really easy parking for my van. The gym facilities were fantastic and I had a nice reasonably priced meal in the bar. It was great having the river so close for getting out and about. Will certainly stay again.

We stayed at the Lensbury Resort as a group of four visiting Bushy parkrun.Our first reason to book was it's close location to the park. From arrival to check out, the whole visit was an absolute treat!The staff are absolutely lovely and really helpful.The hotel is beautiful, clean and spacious. The room was pristine and it was so quiet, we had a brilliant night's sleep. We took advantage of the facilities available to us and had a swim and steam room treat before heading back to Kings Cross via Vauxhall. Thank you for looking after us, we shall certainly be back!

I stayed on the first floor. The corridor smelt funny. The room was cosy with a view of the established cedar trees to the back and river in the distance. My key stopped working and had to wait 15 minutes to be seen as receptionist was left on her own answering the phones and checking people in. She was very professional. Grounds are stunning. I went to the pool about 1pm on Friday and it was busy. Restaurant was nice but signage through the hotel was lacking. It’s an old hotel.

Not a great start, as we were sent to the far end of the complex, although hotel was practically empty. Was looking forward to going to sauna, but was closed for repair. The pool, though, was huge and good temperature. Irritating for me is the fact that I could not obtain a newspaper without going for a ten minute drive.. in rush hour!

Family and friends get together
Ample parking and a beautiful setting. Room was a deluxe double with plenty of space, comfy bed and sofa. Facilities were excellent with areas ideal for children such as the play park and soft play area. We walked along the path by the river and enjoyed the geese and parakeets. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Set up to cater for members, not hotel guests.
Probably wouldn’t stay here again. Room was clean mostly, and comfortable for a single. Bed was bigger - a small double, so that was nice. I always book a hotel with a spa/sauna/steam room when I travel alone, so I have a way to relax after working and long journey. This is in fact more of a family leisure centre, with lots of people, lots of children running round etc. Not relaxing AT ALL. It’s also a long way from the actual hotel, which in hindsight I probably wouldn’t have bothered walking over there, as it was a waste of time and energy. Really difficult to find the facilities, even once you have made it inside the leisure centre. Parking was also very annoying after a long journey, as there’s no spaces reserved for hotel guests in the closest car park, so you have to walk quite a long way again. Then to get out, I was supposed to be given a code to get out of the car park (which has a one way entry system), but I didn’t know that and they didn’t give me one at check out. There’s not intercom to ask reception either. So if a woman hadn’t have let me out with her membership card, I technically would still be stuck in there now with my car! Of course I would have eventually re-parked my car and walked back to the hotel but it would have made me very late for my client, which was the sole reason for me staying at this venue in the first place.

Room in need of an update
despite being well received at reception, I can't say the same about the room, it wasn't very comfortable, the heating system had no compromise either too hot or too cold, it wasn't possible to use the shower with the shower door closed, no had space for. I would definitely expect better accommodation from this hotel.

Lots of plus points!
Lots to like the room was decent size with a huge bed and the bathroom was large. Also from the restaurant there were lovely views down to the river. Breakfast was good with lots of choice though I do think it’s cheeky to charge extra for pancakes. On the negative we had booked the hotel due to the onsite gym offering lots of classes. Prior to arriving we were told the classes could be booked on the day. However everything was booked up and when I asked how busy the pool was. I was told there would be lots of kids in it in the morning. We found the room quite noisy as if we were near the air conditioning units but that could be just our bad luck. There was also no caffeinated coffee and not much milk - though reception were helpful and more was brought to the room. In the bathroom it took ages for the shower to come to temperature. Overall it’s in a gorgeous setting by the river and a very pleasant walk by the river to Richmond or via Ham nature reserve to Richmond Park.

I was initially a little disappointed that we were staying in the annexe as opposed to the main house but it was quiet, clean and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good with numerous choices and with lovely views of the river. Lovely walks and restaurants close by.

SW London Hotel and Sports Centre
The Lensbury is located on the Thames a short walk from Teddington. There is an excellent gym and pool complex and good communal facilities in the main building. We stayed in one of the outer buidlings - the room was nicely decorated but there were a few things that didn't work such as the towel rail and the mattresses in the twin rooms could have been a little firmer. We dined in the restaurant but there were some staffing issues and the food didn't quite meet the surroundings. The hotel is well located and I would stay again - the staff were great and offered changes when we pointed out some of the issues.

Excellent Location/3 Star room/No Room Service
The location, grounds, & restaurant were all excellent. The room was sub-par for a 4 star rating. 3 star hotel at best. I didn't see the larger rooms, but the smaller room I occupied was clean (apart from a weathered looking carpet), and comfortable...The general decor was all fine but not what I have experienced at most other 4 star properties. The 'large screen TV' listed in the hotel info was tiny, everything else functional. My one big complaint would be no room service at all when 24 hour room service was listed on the hotel info on Hotels.com The light bar menu after 9pm was also extremely limited & if you order to take away not all items were included.
