« Excellent cozy room on a very wet , windy winter night , spotlessly clean after a wonderful dinner in the restaurant by a cozy log fire 👌 »

« Really great hotel in a perfect location... Our room was perfect, clean, large & well furnished. Bed, linen & towels all freshly laundered. Evening meal was well presented with lovely fresh local products. The menu and choices were very varied. ( Maybe not too much choice if you dont eat red meat. ) The dining room is well set out and in the summer months would be lovely to be able to sit outside ( we visited January 2026 ) The breakfast menu was equally charming and a difficult decision...

« The room was spacious and attractive. The hotel overall is very well cared for and the staff seem to be very happy to work there - they are extremely helpful and friendly. The highlight of our stay was the truly delicious dinner we enjoyed - a very memorable, high-quality meal. The heating in our room was domestic style radiators and it was tricky to get the room temperature right, this was a minor detail. »

« Accueil très sympathique, nous n'avons pas dîné à l'hôtel car nous avions rendez-vous ailleurs, mais le menu semblait très bien. Un lit king size plus en fait un atout particulier. Le déjeuner peut être Anglais ou continental. Si nous avions pu rester la journée suivante nous aurions demandé si nous pouvions y passer une nuit supplémentaire. »

Perfect get away for some quiet time in a traditional old pub in a small village walking distance from the train station. Right next to multiple hiking paths to famous hill tops. »

« Lovely small quiet hotel in a great area of Sheffield right next to Encliffe Park & walks into the Peak District. Friendly staff & lovely editions to the room, lovely toiletries, water & milk in the fridge & delicious homemade brownies. We got upgraded to a lovely room with a roll top bath. »
