The apt is excellent, perfect for the 5 friends we stayed. Location is awesome, 1/2 block from the beach and 2 from bars and groceries stores. Justin is an excellent host, very responsive
Overall the place was okay at 400 a night. Most places I've been to have a binder or laminated paper with all the necessary info, this place did not. The couch was covered in sand. We were cold the 1st night and could not figure out the heater, we asked for info, and received a reply which didn't help, when I emailed again we were not answered til the next morning. There wasn't a packet of salt, pepper or sugar in the cabinets, although we were told there was. No ice trays, or labeling on the toaster oven, it was long washed away. There were a number of free standing heaters which helped. The beach was close by. Both bedrooms had bathrooms.
Pros: location to the beach, comfortable bed/bedding, large TV, cool fireplace, quick response from manager.Cons: dark unit, couch/chair stained and uncomfortable, no extra towels or blankets besides what's on the beds and 1 BR towel set a piece, shoddy repairs and fixtures.
Nice to have 2 separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for sharing apartment with my brother. Cozy sitting room with manual electric fireplace. Very nice large TV. Very plush new towels. Great location for 8-10 min walk to the shoreline, Venice pier and retaurants.( via sandy beach or cement path) We ate at Casa 12, restaurant 2 nights. Only suggestion, bring ear plugs, neighbor hood dogs, neighbors on floor above and passerbyâs in adjacent alley can be loud.
Parking is right out the door, Everything we needed.
The location is excellent and the hosts are responsive, but the place is shabby and worn for the price. All the living room furniture is old, stained and uncomfortable and the rug is threadbare and turned up at ends threatening tripping. The two toilets are just a bit more than a foot off the ground, which made it difficult for my 80-something parents to use without stress and discomfort. The coffeemaker has a part is broken filter-holder, though it works, and when the power went out for a few hours in the area, there was no emergency lighting or flashlight or whatever. I encourage the owners to either lower the price or fix up the place to make the it worth the price they're charging.
This place is a gem; full kitchen, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, STEPS from the ocean. We arrived, ordered grocery delivery, and spent the rest of the time wandering around the area or simply sitting at the beach. The part of the beach this property is near is clean and quiet. If you are an animal lover, all of Venice seems to be dog friendly. There are squirrels the locals feed that are cute as can be. We walked to the pier and saw two pods of dolphins in the distance. Really can't say enough about the location. Oh! And if you like ravens you'll love hearing them communicate with one another.
We stayed there with three kids for a couple of days. The location was perfect, three steps from the beach, perfect location with little kids.
The house need some maintenance to be perfect, but it was clean and has the basics ( toilet paper, salt, and toilet products).
Close to restaurants and stores.
We had a great time in LA! Our host was very responsible with any questions and even sent us restaurant suggestions! There were lots of places within walking distance and the beach was super close. The house was clean and looked exactly as pictured!
We chose this place because of proximity to a family member we were visiting and it was very convenient. We mainly spent our time there for sleeping and the kids slept great so that was good! The place was clean and had what we needed during our stay. We will definitely stay here again when we visit!
This spot was a great location - the beach was right around the corner. Clean and cute! The neighborhood was a lively and loud until late in the night, so pack earbuds or white noise if that bothers you. Overall, it was a great little home for a weekend getaway.
Being literally steps from the beach is this properties greatest asset. And walking distance to lots of restaurants. The condo itself is meh. It looks like the pictures but pics donât pick up the fact that itâs an older property or the relatively small but noticeable imperfections (broken door on bathroom vanity, missing toilet paper dispenser in master bath). 2nd bedroom much smaller than it appears in pics. Too small for 2 teens to share. There was a pull out couch but no bedding for it. 1/2 bath is very small with no ventilation. Fine for just one person staying in the room - nothing more.
I will say the property manager was very responsive. I was never sent access code before the trip and when i called the owner when we landed in LA he was not reachable at all but left the property managerâs number in his vm greeting. Luckily we reached him and he responded right away with door code. He also brought pullout bedding and bath mats (also missing) when requested the next day.
We were there in the middle of a heatwave. Like many properties in the area there was no AC. Ceiling fans helped. But there wasnât one in 2nd bedroom. It was very hot in there. Found a dusty table top fan in the closet and that helped.
Condo is on first floor right on street. Lots of foot traffic literally on other side of living room windows. Mostly kept curtain closed because foot traffic was so close to windows.
But canât beat the location! We enjoyed the area and our overall stay.
This property was simple but spacious and accommodating. It was in a great location and right next to my cousinâs condo, who we went to visit! The space was clean and well supplied for our needs. The manager responded to a request that we had and fixed the issue in a timely manner. The only thing, which was out of the property managerâs control, was that the sound proofing from the upstairs apartment is not very good. Also, it depends on whoâs up there at the time⊠Overall, it was just right for our needs and we had a great time!
