Family getaway for people aged 14-83!
We all had a wonderful week at Lovedale. There was enough space for us all to have our own space. We had busy teenagers, uni students who had to study and octogenarians who had to nap and all were able to do what we had to do! Thanks Faya. We will be back. Ilona.

Perfect for large groups
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lovedale Lodge. The property was very spacious, and our group of 18 adults had plenty of room. The new renovations added a lovely touch to the place. The large living and dining areas , as well as the abundance of cutlery, plates and utensils were ideal for the group. Would definitely recommend staying here, Faya is a lovely host who was very accommodating.

The stay of a lifetime
The property is unbelievable - seriously couldn’t recommend a better property for a large group. There are 3x quarters within the house and so much room for large groups to congregate together or go off for their own space. We stayed for my 30th birthday with a group of 24 people and never once felt overwhelmed with the amount of guests all in one place as it’s so spacious. We stayed in winter but the fire pit ensured we could still say outside, sit around the fire and enjoy the outdoors. It would be amazing too in the summer, as the pool looked great! The property itself is huge and there is so much grass room for activities. Faya (the host) is without a doubt the most accomodating and friendly host I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He accommodated every request we had and any questions were answered promptly. Nothing was too hard for Faya and to put it simply, he is just a legend. Overall the weekend away at the property for my 30th was one of the best of my life - we all had so, so much fun. I truly cannot recommend it enough for large groups - if you are staying in the Hunter with a massive bunch of friends and family there is simply nowhere better to stay.

Amazing place- Great location
Amazing place, has all you need to cater for a larger group. Amazing rooms, beds, couches , kitchens cant fault it. Faya has added a great touch to the place. Great location close to wineries but the property is bigger enough you feel in the middle of the bush. Have stayed 4 times and would stay again.

30th birthday weekend away
The property was excellent all of the guests loved it and commented on how great it was. Beds where comfy, house was clean all the amenities you could need. Perfect spot to visit all the local attractions as its not to far out of town. Perfect for a large group.

David (the owner) takes pains in looking after the property personally. He would have a much better property if he could organize wifi at the property. Overall the property is good for a family and friends group as there is a lot of place for outdoor activity and swimming in the pool.

The property was fantastic. There was so many different spaces to sit and relax. The beds were comfy. The rooms were all clean and spacious. The pool was fabulous. I would highly recommend David place to anyone visiting the Hunter. We will definitely come back again

17 of us headed for a Christmas get a way and we all had a fab time. The house was perfect, lots of space and different areas and lots of land around. Very close to the wineries too! Thanks for hosting us David!

Winederful and relaxing weekend getaway (18-20th Dec 2020)
Thank you David... My friends (group of 18) and I enjoyed our stay and will treasure our first CHRISTmas getaway. So nice to have the whole 3 villa for ourselves. Love the salt water pool too 😉😏😁 Highly recommended if u want peace and quiet away from everything. Definitely we'll be back!

Brilliant place to stay for a group
David was lovely and very accomdating. The villas were great for our long weekend and lots of room for everyone. The place was fully equip and had everything we needed in the kitchen including utensils, pots and pans and even the basics for cooking. Thanks for having us and we would recommend to all. Hope to come back too!

Great set up for group celebrations
A group of 20 of us stayed at Lovedale Lodge for my partner's 30th. The whole set up was perfect - the beds were comfortable, secluded location, swimming pool and close to Cessnock if you require anything from the shops. Would recommend.

We had an awesome stay
We all had a great weekend at this awesome accommodation. We love that the house is seperated out so we can have our own space and still all get together when we want to. We had everythng we needed including David making sure we had extra blankets etc if we needed them. This was our second time at Lovedale Lodge and we will be back.

Great house great location
I booked the house for a weekend away with friends the house was exactly what we were looking for clean, spacious and in a great location. Communication with David was second to none I would highly recommend lovedale.

Great for large group
We really enjoyed our time here - the property had so much space and could accommodate us easily - our group consisted of 5 families. The facilities were great - the kids even used the pool and it was winter! Thanks for having us.

Much needed break post lockdown
Fantastic place for a big group of friends and family. Amazing villas and we loved each and every aspect of the property.. The fireplace, the spa, The pool, Huge dining table which accommodated 14 of us, Fully equipped kitchen... the list will go on and we did enjoyed it to the fullest. I’m sure we’ll be back. Great for groups!
We had a wonderful stay at David's property, with four other families. These residences are in a beautiful setting, with loads of room for everyone, indoors and out. The children in our group enjoyed the pool and grass areas and it was so easy to keep an eye on them from the comfortable outdoor space. We would like to come back some day.

Very Enjoyable Place to Kick Back and enjoy the weekend
Lovedale Lodge was exactly what we were looking for to spend a great weekend in the Hunter Valley with friends. Great location; within a short drive to the Hunter Valley Golf and Country Club for a quick 9 or 18; and just a 10min drive to all the amenities ya need to keep your Esky full and the BBQ going if you needed some restocking...and still had that country feel. Enjoyed kickin back in the pool with some cold brews, and summer time grooves. Had the place to ourselves with a few locals wanting to join in our good times (kangaroos).

Perfect for large groups!
I stayed here with a group of 28, all had their privacy if they wanted it but could meet up and congregate altogether living rooms, outside spaces or near the pool very comfortably. The yurt was my favourite space! What an awesome place - my friends already want to go back next year!!!

You showed complete contempt for our property including smashing the glass table top on our 8 seater dining setting and even throwing some of our linen in the garbage. You also showed complete contempt for the national bushfire crisis by lighting an outside fire despite being reminded of the total fire ban. Also other items have been damaged or have gone missing and accordingly you are banned from our property forever.

Great location, great house, great host
Dave was a great host, communication was great from first booking and up to arrival. Laid back and very easy to ask any questions needed. House as advertised, great space with separated rooms which was handy for different members of the group. Check in and check out easy with no stress. Would definitely recommend.
