Lower Shortditch Turbary Nature Reserve

On arrival Bleesed on reception was helpful and polite. I was taken away by the sheer heat reception it was like an oven. Their was extra tea and coffee available to help yourself to but no milk showing the dirty residue of old milk in the tub. First issue room on the second floor with a lift out of use, not helpful when you are alone with a fair bit of luggage no assistance to haul it up 4 flights of stairs. Once in the twin room first thing I notice we're the bright red walls with lots of pain missing where a desk or something had been banging against the wall chipping the paint off. No head boards to both beds which meant the pillows dropping behind the bed. Next issue was only one double plug socket. This was place directly above when you would lie in bed. With none of my charger leads long enough to reach the bedside table. So anything needing plugging in was also in bed or behind on the floor. 2 cup and brew stuff but no kettle and nowhere to plug a kettle in apart from the plug above the bed. Didn't fancy boiling a kettle on pillows. Bathroom clean enough. However fan is constantly on which caused a noise issue. Finally no air con so the room was sweltering. A horrible stay. How this got 3 stars I do not not. My mate cancelled his room taking the hit and losing all money. Prehaps I should have done the same. Best thing about it was the near by pizza place.

Ruhiges Zimmer nach hinten in schönem viktorianischem Haus. Sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Mit 450 € für 2 Nächte völlig überteuert für ein bed-and-breakfast mit miserablen Matratzen bzw. Bettgestellen, die zu zwei schmerzenden Rücken führten. Kein Hotelcharakter. Das Frühstück war gut.

In einem historischen Gebäude wurde hier mit Sinn und Verstand ein modernes Hotel integriert. Durch die versetzt eingebauten Aufzüge hat man hier sogar einen behindertenfreundlichen Aufenthalt ermöglicht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
