The days leading up to our stay, we didn't receive any checkin info until after paying the deposit, despite the initial listing stating it would be collected on-site, upon arrival. Additionally, upon arrival we did a immediate inspection, it appeared that the apartment was not fully finished. We found several lights in a room were not working & the light bulbs hanging from the socket, improperly installed. The heated towel rack was popped out from the wall & nonfunctional. The pocket door that separates the bedroom & shower room was jammed & unable to close. This negatively affected our stay due to the lack of privacy. Within 30 minutes of arrival, we contacted the BNB Agency with images to report these defects to ensure we wouldnt be charged for preexisting damages. The reply was disappointing and accusatory. They admitted there was electricity issues for the lights, but declined the towel rack & door problems, insinuating we did those damages. They offered to send a person to look at the electrical issues, however we did not feel safe having an unknown person enter the apartment when we are away, thus declining the offer. They eventually charged us about 90 euros for "damaging" the towel rack, despite it already being damaged prior to our arrival. I feel that this host is preying on the tourists to pay for the renovation of the apartment! The apartment was not ready for rent at all. We wanted to appeal but the linked site was not working at the time. Overall disappointed.
