Très bien
Le fait que l'appartement soit en dernier étage contribue au calme. Il est très spacieux et bien équipé. La belle terrasse n'a aucun vis-à-vis proche (pas de terrasse ou balcon contigus). La place de parking sous l'immeuble est très pratique. A 5 minutes à pied se trouvent restaurants, boulangerie, supérette et à 5 minutes en voiture, un supermarché. L'île n'étant pas immense et bien desservie par un bon réseau routier, l'emplacement nous a parfaitement convenu. S'il faut trouver un point negatif, nous n'avons pas trouvé de passoire dans la cuisine !😁

Appartement très bien situé, en dehors de Funchal mais tout prés (à peine 15 mn en voiture) et à quelques minutes de la voie rapide. L'appartement a tout le confort souhaité. En plus du balcon, il y a une grande terrasse. Nous y avons passé toutes nos soirées. Le must, c'est la place réservée dans le parking souterrain. Très bon contact avec Ana, elle est adorable et très réceptive. Si je dois recommander un appartement à Madère, je recommanderai celui là sans aucunes hésitations.

Une petite perle dans ce paradis terrestre!
Nous avons été agréablement supris de découvrir l'appartement qui correspondait à nos attentes voire même plus. Il était spacieux et bien équipé, moderne... il y avait 2 terrasses dont une très très grande avec une vue sur la mer. Un garage souterrain pour la voiture avec une place réservée. Le bâtiment est moderne et bien situé pour sillonner dans l'île. Non loin de l'aéroport et de Funchal, facile d'accès à la voie rapide sans avoir les inconvénients de celle-ci.

Perfect place
We stayed in the apartment for one week. And when we arrived we were so surprised cause it was really more beautiful then on the pictures. The apartment had everything you need for a relaxed stay in a foreign country and we needed to buy nothing cause everything was already there. From salt and pepper to laundry detergent and cooking items. The place was very clean and was prepared lovely - with flowers waiting for us on the tables. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Feb stay in Madeira
We were happy with all the conveniences this property offered. With a full kitchen we were able to make some meals for ourselves and pack lunches for our lavada walks. Bus service was very close so no need for a car. Loved the roof to patio, lots of sunshine.

Lovely apartment
Lovely apartment with terrace that gets full sun and a cooler balcony on the north side. Good Comms with the owners and everything in the flat that we needed. Really comfortable bed and big sofas in the living room. Good WiFi, although a bit hit and miss on the terrace. One caveat. It's a noisy area. It's residential so there are people fixing stuff, setting off for work at 6am, a cockerel at 5.30, motorbikes and lots of barking dogs. It was very very warm so we had the doors and windows open all night, so we heard all the noises.

The background noise, we are afraid, is typical of all "Mediterranean" countries. There are many places noisier than this, as it is quite an un-market neighbourhood.!

Die Lage ist gut und ruhig. (Bis auf die Hunde, aber das ist überall so) Auf jedenfall ein Auto mieten. Die Wohnung war ordentlich und sauber. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und die Kommunikation mit den Zuständigen war top. Highlight: der Balkon ! (Top Aussicht aufs mehr)

Really good apartment and location
We really enjoyed our stay. The owner, who was very helpful, met us as arranged, showed us around and told us about the local facilities. The apartment has everything one could want, is spacious and is in excellent condition. We liked the large balcony with sea views. It was also very quiet, being at the top of the block. There is a food shop about 100 metres away which had excellent fruit and vegetables and met all our food needs, and which seemed to have very long opening hours - we never found it closed. There are several restauarants very close by, one with a take away service. There are regular buses to and from Funchal. We used the bus system for three of our days there and hired a car for the other three which made going further afield easier. Higly recommended.

Many positives staying here Very nice apartment and well equipped Very clean Liked the coffee making options Because we were there in winter it was a little cool at times but owners provided a heater which was much appreciated Owners/Peter were very responsive when we had questions Great spot to visit the rest of the island as the main highway was easy to access if you are renting a car We were out on the road quite a bit exploring various towns and villages and walking many of the wonderful levadas Bus service into Funchal was very close and easy to use if you didn't want to drive into the city and you can stay here comfortably without a car There were several restaurants close by that were good The Ravioli was our go-to place for morning coffee and a tart We stayed for about one month In hindsight I would probably have split some of that time between Garagua and Funchal, which we thought was a wonderful city One negative was the barking dogs in the neighboring hosues, even if that is out of the control of the owners of the apartment Overall, a nice place to rental

Wunderbare Ferienwohnung
Die Wohnung wurde es von der Verwalterin übergeben, alles lief problemlos und wir haben auch Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt bekommen (Museen die Kinder mögen etc.) Die Wohnung sieht unserer Meinung nach sogar schöner aus als auf den Fotos. Es ist liebevoll gestaltet, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Vermieter/die Verwaltung waren jederzeit erreichbar, was uns auch eine gewisse Sicherheit gab. Wie andere schon erwähnt haben hört man Hunde bellen, aber wir haben während unserer Zeit auf Madeira gemerkt das extrem viele Haushalte Hunde haben und auch viele auf der Straße leben - das gehört offensichtlich zum Urlaubsort und störte uns nicht. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder.

Die Wohnung ist groß und gut gelegen. Lediglich die vielen bellenden Hunde haben uns oft den Schlaf geraubt. Aber dafür kann die Vermieterin nichts. Sie war sehr nett und der Kontakt war auf ein Minimum beschränkt, so dass wir uns sehr frei gefühlt haben. Die Tiefgarage ist ein eindeutiger Vorteil!

Wunderbare Zeit in einem sehr schönen und geräumigen Ferienappartement
Von der Buchung bis zum Verlassen der Ferienwohnung alles sehr gut und unkompliziert geklappt. Ausstattung ist gut. Alles sauber. Der Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage ein eindeutiges plus, wenn man mit Mietwagen unterwegs ist. Nahe Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Alles sehr schön! Kann ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Positiv: Schöne Wohnung im 5. Stock, ausreichende Ausstattung an Geschirr, Besteck, Handtüchern, Tischdecken, Putzmitteln, sauber. Hervorzuheben sind die Blenden und zusätzlich Verdunkelungsvorhänge, die es auch in Hotels gibt, in den Schlafräumen. Bushaltestelle, Bäckereien, kleiner Gemüse-/Obstladen, der auch eine Auswahl an täglichem Lebensmittelbedarf führt, einige Restaurants bzw. Bars fußläufig zu erreichen. Negativ: Für Ruhesuchende derzeit nicht zu empfehlen: Direkt gegenüber wird ein neues Apartmenthaus gebaut, von montags bis freitags jeweils von 8.00 bis ca. 18.00 Uhr Gehämmer, bedingt durch Ausheben von Felsgestein, Lärm, bedingt durch Verladen des Felsgesteins auf LKW's, etc. Die Madeirenser haben wohl eine Vorliebe für Hunde, und nicht nur für einen. Rundherum leben wohl 20 davon - direkt gegenüberauf einem Balkon allein 3 plus eine Katze - , irgendeiner kläfft immer, und das auch mitten in der Nacht. Spülmaschine: In den Ausstattungsmerkmalen wird das Vorhandensein einer solchen aufgeführt, tatsächlich ist aber keine vorhanden. Dies wurde bereits Ende 2016 von einem Gast bemängelt.

This gentleman was looking for compensation, which for such an incredibly cheap holidays was declined, particularly as the guests waited until they were nearly due to leave before contacting us to request a partial refund. We will be speaking to HomeAway about this as they do not approve of this tactic. The development opposite is some way away and in its advanced stages so is relatively quiet. The dishwasher was listed in error, and this has been corrected. Dogs, I am afraid, are a standard feature of any "Mediterranean" climate. The most expensive apartments and hotels have to listen to them too!Dieser Herr suchte nach einer Entschädigung, die für solch einen unglaublich günstigen Urlaub abgelehnt wurde, zumal die Gäste darauf warteten, dass sie fast abreisen würden, bevor sie sich mit uns in Verbindung setzten, um eine teilweise Rückerstattung zu beantragen. Wir werden mit HomeAway darüber sprechen, da sie diese Taktik nicht gutheißen. Die gegenüberliegende Entwicklung ist in weiter Ferne und daher in fortgeschrittenem Stadium relativ ruhig. Der Geschirrspüler wurde fälschlicherweise aufgelistet und dies wurde korrigiert. Ich fürchte, Hunde gehören zum Standard in jedem "mediterranen" Klima. Die teuersten Apartments und Hotels müssen auch zuhören!

Appartamento spazioso e luminoso. La cucina è comoda, perfettamente e modernamente attrezzata. Beste Ferienwohnung, die wir bisher hatten. Wir vergeben volle Punktzahl
Wir waren zu dritt vom 7.- 18. Oktober 2018 dort. Bei dieser Ferienwohnung und der Location hat wirklich alles gepasst. Bei unserer Ankunft hat uns Ana bereits erwartet und uns die Wohnung und das Gebäude gezeigt (Tiefgarage etc.). Bei der Ausstattung haben wir nichts vermisst, alles war in tadellosem Zustand und hat zuverlässig funktioniert (Geräte, Internet, Parken in der Tiefgarage usw.). Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, was für uns immer am Wichtigsten ist. Auch die Betten waren sehr bequem. Wir nutzten in der Küche besonders die kleine Filter-Kaffemaschine, aber auch die Waschmaschine. Die Wohnung machte auf uns einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck. Die Location in Canico (Garajau) war für uns als Ausgangspunkt für unsere Inselerkundungen ideal. Bäcker / kleiner Supermarkt gleich um die Ecke, Restaurants leicht zu Fuß erreichbar. Von Garajau nach Funchal und zurück kommt man per Bus am besten mit EACL und der Linie 155, man zahlt direkt beim Fahrer. Und unbedingt am Ort den öffentlichen Strand Praia dos Reis Magos in Caniço de Baixo besuchen. Vor der Küste befindet sich unmittelbar der erste Unterwasserpark von Madeira. Auf der Straße kann man kostenlos parken, Strandbar und -restaurant, Duschen und Umkleidekabinen sind auch vorhanden. Unsere Tochter hat dort gleich bei der dort ansässigen Tauchschule das Schnupper-Tauchen probiert und war begeistert. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wieder diese Wohnung buchen. Bernd aus Deutschland

Other than being hard to find, everything about the apartment was great. It was remodeled to a high standard, large apartment, great views and deck, intro food, large shower. Great location, walkable restaurants, pharmacy, grocery. Super local neighborhood. Parking garage. Heads up; Manager did have an add-on cost paid in cash on site. Regardless of amount or reason for this charge, it should be have been included in the VRBO quote or in the contract.

Thanks for the five stars! However, we would beg to differ that the apartment is hard to find, as there are two turnings between it and the airport. The additional charge is a local eco-tax applied by the Santa Cruz municipality to fund various environmental projects - as it is only €1 per adult per day, but only for the first five days, it is impossible to configure in the HomeAway "extras".

Mooi appartement...maar zonder centrale verwarming veel te koud.
Het appartement is ruim van opzet. Prima sanitair, fijne keuken en een mooi balkon. Echter in tegenstelling tot wat op de website vermeld staat, is er totaal geen mogelijkheid om de ruimte te verwarmen. Juist vanwege de vermelde CV kozen wij (op basis van eerdere slechte ervaringen) dit appartement. Dat viel dus tegen; 's avonds en 's ochtends was het koud en onaangenaam.

Slechts twee dingen mis met deze negatieve beoordeling: Ten eerste is er een kachel opgeslagen in een van de kasten in het appartement - ze mogen niet hebben gekeken? Helaas was de week dat ze hier waren ongewoon koud over het hele eiland, daalde tot slechts 16 graden. Ten tweede hadden ze meer verwarming nodig en moesten ze naar de eigenaar in de buurt wonen, en we hebben een voorraad verwarmingstoestellen en ventilatorverwarmers die we op verzoek kosteloos kunnen lenen. De gasten hadden ons moeten spreken terwijl ze hier waren! Only two things wrong with this negative review (well, positive, apart from the temperature): Firstly, there is a heater stored in one of the cupboards in the apartment – they must not have looked? Unfortunately the week they were here was unusually cold throughout the island, dropping to just 16 degrees. Secondly, had they required more heating they only had to ask – the owner lives nearby could have sorted this out immediately, and we have a stock of radiators and fan-heaters that we loan out free of charge upon request. The guests should have talked to us whilst they were here !We cannot rectify a complaint if we only know about it after they have left!

Vielen Dank für Ihre Empfehlung. Es ist in einer sehr guten Lage, nur ein paar Minuten von der Autobahn entfernt, aber immer noch sehr ruhig. Thank you for your recommendation. It is in a very good location just a couple of minutes from the motorway but still very quiet.

Fantastic apartment
We have only just arrived back after a wonderful holiday in Garajau. The apartment was first class and had everything you could wish for. Peter answered questions promptly and even arranged our taxi transfers. We will return to Madeira next year as we fell in love with the island and very friendly people.
