« Clean comfortable room. Booked to take a dog. Arrived late at night and had to wait ages ( a hour) for a room as apparently not all are dog friendly. Eventually got to bed at 1am.
This should be made clear on booking site.

« It's an ok hotel if you are visiting Excel for an event but the hotel needs a make over and especially the public area is worn down. My room was ok and the restaurant was ok too. There is nothing else in the area so I recommend Excel north where there are more restaurants. »

« The property was directly across street from main train station which takes you into London. Family room too small for family of four. No space to walk around bed. Expected 2 twin beds and a double bed but got one twin bed and a cot which was between the twin and double bed and you had to crawl across bottom of bed to stand on whatever space that was not occupied by suitcases. This should be a triple room rather than a quadruple family room »
« Wonderful stay at The Crown for two nights, the staff were so friendly and helpful with great breakfast options. We stayed in the double room which was lovely, spacious & clean with a lovely view. Would stay again »
« We had to make more than 3 calls and spent 1h on the phone just to get someone to speak to us and only later to give us the key to apartment. We than waited another 10min for the landlord to turn up.
Beds in apartment were below standard and with horrible, bad quality mattresses. The daily rate charged was quite expensive given the poor quality of beds and matresses. That is not quality, but unacceptable state of affairs.

« If this hotel is used as a benchmark to determine the rating of all other hotels, most of the of the 4-stars hotels in which I stayed in the past year would be 3-stars.
It is by far one of the best hotels out there:
Quick, friendly and efficient service.
Spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms
Good food at restaurant or for breakfast.
