« Wonderful place! Everything you need! Love the eclectic decor. Hostesses were easy to communicate with. Very close to Giant City State Park for hiking etc. also antiquing in nearby towns. »

« Nice place. We cooked meals inside on the stove but also over a fire at the fire pit. There is a small creek behind the cabin that runs when it rains out. That was pretty cool. No nearby light pollution so the sky is really dark at night and you can see a lot of stars. Overall a great experience. Two wineries close by. It's on the wine trail. Close to everything in Southern Illinois. We went to all the state parks. »

« When we arrived, the house REEKED of cigarette smoke. We had to air the house out the entire first day and we could still smell it on the towels and faintly in the air. Clearly, the people before us did not follow the rules. We notified the host right away - he was very responsive. He had a cleaning lady come over; not much she could do, but she did bring a lighter so we could light some of the candles at least. Other than the smoke smell, the house was fine and as advertised. « The good: Communication with the host was excellent throughout the whole process! The beds and couches were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and pillows. The inside of the house was very clean. The value we got for the money was incredible!The bad: Upon arrival, there was a lot of trash in the yard which wasn't super welcoming. « The property was so adorable! We appreciated all the thoughtful touches - backyard games for use, fire starters and lighters, blankets for near the fire, etc. We loved gathering and eating fresh eggs from the chickens and riding the golf cart through all the marked paths. The kids loved fishing in the ponds. We had a great time - beautiful place! We'd highly recommend for couples, a daily, a girls trip - anyone would love this place! »

« We were disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working but the house was clean and everything else was great. They compensated us for the hot tub not working and were easy to communicate with. Five stars! »

« We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pa's House. The house is gorgeous, and decorated perfectly. You can tell Matt and his family put alot of time and energy into fixing the house up! It is well stocked and had everything we needed. The whole house was very clean! We have stayed at multiple houses in the Anna area and this one is by far the best! We would give it more stars if we could! Definitely planning to be back! »
