Our stay was OK. The location was great and the house had tons of space. Nice views and lots of supplies (toys, cleaning supplies, condiments, etc.). It did not meet expectations for cleanliness: there were some dirty dishes on the shelves, dirt in some bathroom areas, etc.. The primary bedroom bed was not very comfortable and also loud (squeaky), which was a problem with our sleeping infant. Most critically, there was a large nest of yellow jackets just off the driveway. As I was unloading the car just after arrival I was swarmed and stung several times. Lucky that the baby was not! I had to leave the car doors open at night because they also completely infested the car. I understand that there's an element of bad luck that the yellow jackets chose this house to nest, but the reality is that it did happen, it did negatively affect our stay in a major way, and unless there are continuous preventative measures put in place this will continue to be a problem affecting this location in the future.

Thanksgiving at the beach

Another fun holiday in Manzanita. Hallie House works well for a group and is dog friendly. Close to the beach. Top deck has an amazing view of the ocean. Cleaners should clean the windows, inside and out. We bought Windex and cleaned the windows facing the beach. Sunsets were glorious. House is well-supplied. Could use an outside plug for charging EVs. Not a good place to rent if you have mobility issues. There are many steps, both to get into the house and once you're in the house. Main floor bathroom shower should have a sturdy grab bar. This is the 3rd time we've rented this house. Had a wonderful stay each time. Deck furniture is handy. Overall, an excellent rental. Just not if you find stairs a challenge.

Great location and view!

The house is just a few minutes walk from the beach and the main street in town. The view from the dining room and upstairs family room is beautiful. Comfortable house with nice space for two couples and a teenager. Check-in was a pain with the door code not working. Was able to text with Vacasa to get a new code, but it took a while. Even with the new code it was hard to get in. You have to punch in the code really fast or it doesn't work. With a 10 digit code it's not easy. They should replace the system.

Great house in a great location

This house was very clean and comfortable. The location is stellar, very close to town and the beach. The fireplace was cozy and a great touch on the day when it wouldnt stop hailing.

Midweek in Manzanita

We had wanted to visit Manzanita for quite a while, so were excited to find a very nice place to hang out for a couple of nights. The house was very comfortable and within easy walking distance of the beach and shops/restaurants. There were just 2 of us, but it would be a great choice for a family or group of friends, too. Some suggestions that would have made our stay even better: we had some challenges operating the lock (the green light is very easy to miss); it was a little confusing as to where we were meant to park (mention of the garbage bin implied we were to use the space in front of the garage ); it would have been great to have had a luggage rack in the bedroom (we weren't staying long enough to use the closet or chest of drawers, living out of our suitcase); a cocktail table on the shady deck in front of the house would make that space more attractive when it is too bright to be on the upper deck. We did not do our homework to learn which restaurants and stores are open during the week, so information like that could be helpful.

Hallie house - manzanita

Nice comfortable stay. Beautiful view of the ocean and easy access to the beach. Living room smelled of slight “doggy smell”. Back door wide open and screen door unlocked on arrival. The front door lock was extremely difficult to lock from the outside, unable, to we came and went through the back door, which was easy to lock. That is the main criticism. All in all lovely place. Fantastic House!

Property was nice, use to beach access. Upon arrival house was 53 degrees, Pellet stove/heater in main room did not work. Could not find more pellets to put into the stove even though the directions ask to make sure there was pellets in stove before turning on. Probably was overall clean… cobwebs in the living room Light fixtures and ceiling.

Great Family Beach Trip

We stayed here with our family and another, with 4 small kids and it was great. Great layout for the kids, close proximity to the beach and within walking distance of the bars, restaurants and stores in Manzanita. We had a great time and was happy with the cleanliness and location and that there were many items to support from a kid perspective (high-chair, plastic cups, dishes, bed rail). The furnace went out that they weren't able to fix but brought out space heaters to help. The 10 am check out is a little difficult with little ones and makes the trip feel extra short when you can't check in until 4 pm. Otherwise, no complaints

Comfy house

Great spot for a weekend getaway away

The house was very clean and was a perfect size for two families. The location is super convenient, right on the beach but also within walking distance of several restaurants and a grocery store.
