My husband and I briefly checked in and left our belongings before going to dinner. When we came back, we were unable to get back into the condo. We were unable to contact the host Ginny. Apparently, Ginny was on a cruise. we were locked out with our belongings, including my husband‘s medication, he is a diabetic inside. Ginny texted, but did not call. After over two hours of being locked out, we were ready to go stay with our family we came upon a security guard who was able to contact one of the owners who has a master key to the condos. She eventually let us in. The host Ginny took no responsibility for not providing a way to get into the condo. She never apologized and was completely unavailable. If we had stayed anywhere else where there is 24/7 staff we would have gotten back in the condo in minutes. Also, the dishwasher was not working which the host Ginny indicated before we arrived. The dishwasher was listed as one of the amenities when we reserved the condo. Ginny indicated that she left products to wash our dishes and assumed we would want to wash our own dishes. Last, the only smoke detector was on the kitchen counter when we arrived. In general, the condo was not what we expected. The pocket doors were flimsy, the shower inadequate, the lanai had broken tiles and screens. We were expected to do 2 to 3 loads of laundry. The host Ginny was completely unavailable and unresponsive to our basic needs.
