True 13-Guest Capacity: Unlike many properties in the valley with strict low occupancy caps, our home is located in a planned development that permits us to comfortably host up to 13 guests—making it the perfect fit for multi-generation trips and trail groups.

Big Outdoor Deck: A wrap-around porch and heavy-duty BBQ grill offer the perfect setting for post-trail dinners, morning coffee, and stargazing on 5 acres of private woods and lawns.

Shared Wilderness: Step outside onto 5 acres of beautiful, mature woods and lawns. The acreage is shared between the main house and the studio, giving you plenty of room to breathe in the fresh mountain air.

Full Kitchen Opens to the Deck: Features a gas oven, range, microwave, coffeemaker, tea kettle, dishwasher, and a dining table that comfortably seats 8 for large family meals.

The Sleeping Layout (3 Levels):

Main & Lower Levels: Two spacious King bedrooms (one features an additional Queen sleeper sofa) and a third Queen bedroom.

The 3rd Story Loft: A big, open-concept floor featuring a Queen bed, a Double bed, and an extra Double sleeper sofa. This level houses the main TV, a secondary couch, and a chaise lounge (please closely supervise children around the loft balcony and railings).

Mazama is a breathtaking paradise, but it is a wild, rural valley—not a mountain version of city amenities. To ensure we are the right fit for your trip, please note our unique regional features:

The Internet is "Rustic" (Expect Spotty or No Wi-Fi):
We are truly out in the boonies. Internet and cell signals are weak, unreliable, and often down completely. By booking, you agree that you are prepared for low-to-no internet and that we do not troubleshoot outages. If you must binge Netflix or require seamless connection for remote corporate work, our valley may not be for you. The password for our massive collection of books, board games, and jigsaw puzzles is "FREEDOM."

Local Wildlife Neighbors:
We live in the woods. You will encounter insects and local wildlife. Marmots (who have been quite mischievous lately) and black bears frequent the property.

Attached Separately Rented Studio:
This home includes an attached studio apartment with a separate entrance (units are firmly locked out from each other). You will likely have neighbors during your stay. If you want 100% total isolation on the 5 acres, please consider renting both the cabin and studio together if available!

House Rules & Firm Booking Policies

Occupancy Limits:
While our home comfortably sleeps 13 guests across our 3 distinct levels, we can only host the exact number of guests specified in your reservation. Unregistered visitors or parties are strictly prohibited.

No Pets & No Smoking:
To protect local wildlife and guest allergies, we maintain a strict no-pet policy. Smoking and open outdoor fires are strictly prohibited due to severe valley wildfire risks.

Firm Check-Out at 10 AM:
Our cleaning schedule requires every minute to prep this large home. Early check-ins and late check-outs cannot be accommodated, and departures after 10 AM will incur a late fee. Please treat our cherished, lived-in 90s home with the care you would your own—it is comfortable and loved, but it is not a brand-new, sterile modern condo.

No Cleaning Fee Policy vs. Excessive Messes:
We are proud to charge a $0 cleaning fee to keep your booking simple and transparent. Our team provides a professional, deep clean between every stay. However, this relies on a mutual system of respect.

Guests are required to leave the home in a reasonable condition (dishes loaded in the dishwasher, trash placed in bins, and no major unaddressed spills for example). If a group leaves the lodge in an excessively dirty state that requires extra cleaning hours, specialized stain removal or repairs from damage, the additional cost billed by our cleaning service will be charged directly to your reservation.

Cancellation & Travel Insurance:
Please review our cancellation policy closely. Because we cannot issue refunds outside our stated guidelines for regional disruptions (smoky summer air, seasonal road closures, or personal delays), we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip investment.


Winter Wonderland Addendum (For Winter Bookings Only):
Winter Driving Skills Mandated:
Expect ice, deep snow, and slush. You must have 4x4/AWD, snow tires, and/or chains.

Snow Plowing Protocols:
Our excellent plow service manages many valley properties; they will arrive, but sometimes it can take a while and there are no on-call emergency services or call-outs for plowing or dig-outs. The driveway and your private parking spot must be kept completely clear of gear. Do not throw rocks onto the driveway, as they destroy the plow blades.
