Great location for JMU family weekend - the kitchen had everything you need! The only thing to note is that you have to take garbage up the mountain at check out. Allow for about 10 minutes up the hill .,

Very comfortable and homey!

We loved staying at this house! It was roomy and cozy at the same time. It had everything we needed and we really appreciated the snacks, coffee, etc that made it so easy to stay a couple of nights without having to shop for the basic essentials. The house also was quiet and the beds were so comfortable that we all slept great!

Lovely, quiet, spacious home

This place was perfect for our short spring break getaway. Super convenient to Massanutten resort activities and not too far from Luray and those attractions. We were a bit disappointed in the "game room"-- the air hockey table worked but the pucks were so dinged up that they didn't glide over the surface of the table, making it sort of impossible to really play. That said, we weren't there for the game room, so it wasn't a deal breaker!

Great location great rooms

Great locale and cleanliness. Rooms were perfect. Only thing, perhaps due to my own fault, was lack of bathrooms. Had to share ensuite bath with room next door. Also wish the drive way was paved but other than that Great place!

Thanksgiving Visit

We are a family from Connecticut and Georgia and we decided to meet halfway for Thanksgiving (VA). This house was perfect for our group of eight. It was spotless when we arrived and all of the rooms were as pictured. The kitchen/dining area was easy for everyone to maneuver around and was well equipped. The downstairs game room added extra fun for the kids, but we spent a great deal of time in the living room playing games/puzzles, and watching movies. We ordered take out Thanksgiving dinner from The Massanutten Resort and it was delicious. Plenty of leftovers, too! We enjoyed the Water park and Snow tubing hill at the resort (order your tickets online) as well as hiking in Shenandoah National Park. What a great house in a beautiful area!

Perfect for our stay - nice neighborhood

Everything worked out well. NO issues, at all. The only reason I didn't give all 5 stars, is that I would reserve that for places with truly excellent furnishings, decor, etc. But, this place was clean, beds were comfortable and the neighborhood is nice. All good.

A Pet Friendly Mountain Gem!

This home was the perfect spot for our mountain getaway! Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Spacious home with a great backyard that included not just a great firepit, but even a staked dog run that was thoughtfully placed & just long enough for Fido to snuggle up with you at the chairs by the firepit, but not long enough for him to get into danger by reaching the firepit itself. The location being just 7-10 minutes from a large grocery store made things super convenient! Prompt & great communication from the property manager in response to questions, even on a holiday weekend!

My family had a great time spending the week at the chalet. It was comfortable and spacious. The carpet needed a deep clean, but otherwise the house was clean. We really enjoyed having close proximity to Massanutten activities, breweries and the campus of JMU. The neighborhood was nice to walk the dog around. Having the firepit available to us was great too!

Fun basement!

We stayed 4 days at Chalet High with my Son, daughter in law and grandkids who are 4 and 2. The multi level was great for them and the air hockey and basketball game in the basement were a fun treat! The location was awesome. Close to ski slopes, Tubing and Water park. It was a fun family vacation.

Convenient and a variety of things to do with the family

The house looks small from the outside but it has 4 finished levels and a lower unfinished level that leads to the backyard. We discovered some plumbing issues with the house and immediately called the property management company and they were super responsive and very nice. I really appreciated that they had the plumber come first thing the next morning. Due to the plumbing issue, the property manager came by the house to let us know that they are moving us to another house. Although it was unfortunate that we had to pack everything, clean the house to unpack in another house, the new place was gorgeous and they extended our check out time. We were very pleased on how the property management company handled the situation. It was beyond their control and they made sure we were taken care of. Thank you for a great experience.

Family getaway

We loved it. It was spacious cozy and relaxing. Kids loved the game room we hooked up their switch and all of us had family fun. We enjoyed the balcony in the mornings hearing the beautiful birds while the sun rising behind the trees and spent the evenings in the backyard bbqing and ended the night at the firepit and even looked up at the stars.. Even my dog enjoyed it all. Everything else like fishing, waterpark, stores etc just a few minutes away. Again I love this property and will be back . Thank you for everything ❤

Great Mountain Escape

We had a great time in the ‘mountain house’ as our kids called it. We did lots of hiking in Shenandoah and took advantage of resort amenities. It was awesome to have the game room and large family room. The floor plan really promotes a relaxed vacation. The house was clean and well furnished. The hosts were also very easy to work with.

Nice place close to the resort

The property was clean and had plenty of amenities for little kids. Our kids enjoyed the air hockey and basketball. The owners were quick to reply. The house is close to Massanutten resort. The only issue with the house is the basement is much colder than the other floors and the top floor is very warm, but it was fine. We would stay here again.
