I was supposed to check in on a Saturday. Due to missed flights, I arrived at the house later than anticipated. It was between 1 & 2 am on Sunday. The code for the door wouldn’t work. I attempted to text the owners, but they didn’t respond right away. We tried to find a hotel room as both my sister in law (SIL) & I were exhausted, but no rooms were available anywhere in the area. We slept in the car in a hotel’s parking lot. A few hours later, the owner contacted me and reset the code. It worked this time. Note: when you are locking the front door from the inside, don’t assume it is locked completely. You must give it a hard push to ensure the lock goes into the hole with a click. If you can open the door, it’s not truly locked. We didn’t have enough washcloths to get through one week (for 2 people). We ran out of toilet paper. We used the one roll that was under the bathroom sink, but needed one more roll to finish the week. Around the dining room table, there was a small pile of dirt & debris on the floor, including a dental floss stick when we arrived. Suggested beach accessories to have: beach towels, chairs, & a beach umbrella. We purchased washcloths, toilet paper, & beach towels. These were left in house. My SIL immediately smelled mold in the bathroom. She felt the house could’ve been a little cleaner, like the bathroom. She didn’t care for the neighborhood. Pros•comfortable living room•kitchen clean & well equipped•streaming service was ready to go
