„We had a wonderful time here watching the boats go in and out of the harbor, walking to a local seafood take out for lobster rolls, chatting with neighbors, and doing not much else. We would love to come back and stay longer next time. I would highly recommend this place to those who want to have some peace and quiet, read a book, or take a nap!“

Stewart's Grocery & Takeout had great takeout pizza and groceries. We enjoyed lovely maple cortados at the Milkhouse Cafe south of Machias, and fantastic lobster bisque at the Public House. Eastport, Lubec, and Pembroke are all an easy drive away. We also enjoyed Lunch on the Wharf in Corea. An unforgetable stay in an unforgettable location.“

Just a couple items worth noting but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our stay. First, house was very clean except for mouse droppings were found in a 2 kitchen drawers, we washed kitchen utensils before using, including the drawers, but the next day there was more droppings. Second, we bought lobsters to cook at home one night. Lobster pot took way too ...

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, inviting well lived and loved home, this is it. It has a great location, may be dated, but is completely functional. Only problem we had was starving the hot water system while taking showers and washing clothes. Other than that, it was awesome! The driveway will not fit many vehicles, we were on a 15 passenger van, and ...

"Brandnew Hotel in Bar Harbor with all most modern amenities and thoroughly styled. We were staying for 3 nights with 2 standard king rooms booked on ground floor and got an upgrade to 3rd floor for a huge corner room for the parents and an adjacent big room for our kids. The breakfasts were awesome, not the usual hustle and bustle of a buffet, but a choice of either hearty or sweet breakfasts were served on porcelain at our table with cutlery and cloth serviettes, along with a choice of orange juice and coffees or teas and fruits. Also the afternoon tea and cookie hour was a very nice asset. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay between the year end's holidays."
