Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate. « Excellent food and service both for evening meal and breakfast. We had the private dining room, which for a larger party I really can recommend. Though we were not required to we pre-ordered which made the whole evening seamless. Probably just me but there were 6 different light switches in the room. Finding the right combination for bathroom, ceiling and bedside trial and error. »

« When we arrived about 5.45pm Sunday evening we could hear a lot of noise coming from the bar area . We went to our room and freshened up arriving back at the bar about 6.15pm. The bar was dominated by a group of "locals" who were worst for wear, shouting and swearing. My husband and I retreated to the terrace which was a bit cool. « Very good value for money, everything you need is there including WiFi. Some small areas needing attention but nothing serious. Only downside was building works going on in an attached building, loud banging from 6am. »

« We had a wonderful stay at Spindle Cottage in Bielby. It’s a lovely, traditional cottage full of character, set in a peaceful rural location that’s perfect for switching off and relaxing. Despite the quiet setting, it’s only a short drive to nearby supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, which made it really convenient.
