Great location and Perfect Room!

First time in the Sandestin area and we were not disappointed. Loved the area but most of all loved coming home everyday to a great place. It was perfect for myself and 2 daughters. It was so convenient to the Baytowne Wharf. Room was very clean and we will be back and will for sure stay here again!

This condo was exactly as listed and perfect for our stay. Right in the Village of Baytowne Wharf, easy walking to shops and restaurants and watching the beautiful sunset in Sandestin. Clean, quiet, convenient parking, and all the amenities of home. Host communication was prompt and instructions for checkin / checkout easy to find and follow. Recommend!

The AC does need to be looked at as it never got under 74 degrees no matter how low we turned the AC. Had to keep the blinds closed and thank goodness for the ceiling fans. I recommend this room but please make sure they have services the AC unit.. Will return soon.

Pilot 317 (Seabattical 😊) was a nice stay. It was clean, but needs a good window washing and finger print removal on woodwork. Bed was comfortable. Only 1 dish towel! Location was nice— felt very “resorty.” Trams were very convenient. A little unsettling that the deck door didn’t latch or lock (piece was broken off!). Keurig went unused because it needed cleaned. Nice step-in shower (would be better with a wand). Enjoyed the pool and loved the beach!! 🌴 Thank you for sharing your condo! 🥰

Even Better Than Expected!

Location was awesome. Literally steps away from the restaurants and bars of Baytowne Wharf. Property was super clean. Everything was as described. Finding the place and checking in was super easy. Pool is nice and just steps away. Tram was easy to use - we went to the beach a couple times, and wish we would have gone more. Management company was super responsive. Our flight there was delayed and we missed our connection so arrived a day late. They offered to extend our stay by a day (since there wasn't anyone coming in the day after we were scheduled to leave), which I thought was extremely nice of them...unfortunately we weren't able to take advantage of it. One thing - I had asked if beach stuff was included, and they responded no, BUT there are beach chairs and umbrella (and toys for the kids) in the closet in this unit. I would definitely consider staying here again!

July 2023 Stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Pilot House in Sandestin. The condo was clean and convenient to the Village of Baytowne Wharf. We did have an issue with parking when we arrived...no available parking spaces due to the July 4th celebrations at the Village. We had to pay the valet parking fee in order to park in the condo's parking deck. Because there is public parking in the same parking deck as the condo, there isn't enough spaces for guests. Non-guests are entering the guest parking area by waiting until a guest enters the parking code then quickly entering before the arm lowers. I would say that parking was the downside to being so close to the Village. If you visit during a holiday, the Tram is the best way to get to the beach.

Hot and Air Conditioning!

Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately, we had a few hiccups on our first vacation to Pilot House. Lets start first with the positives: The unit was as advertised, clean, great decor, roomy, and in close proximity to beach. Also the app provided a lot of helpful info regarding expectations and procedures. Plenty of beach chairs and kids pool/beach items left behind to use if you forgot your own. Pool area was nice, close and kept pretty clean entire stay. Also quite a few restaurants and activities within walking distance! Now the negatives: unfortunately, when we arrived, we didnt immediately find Pilot house because we didnt realize the parking garage connected several different condos/buildings. Once we got back on track, we went to park and the garage is set up to where there is a pillar taking up anywhere from 6 inches to a foot of EVERY parking space. Anything more than a small compact car was difficult to park and maneuver there and we werent expecting that. And any parking outside was considerably farther away. The second major issue is we arrived to find the unit did not have a working air conditioner. The room was set to 74 and we lowered the temp to 66 and upon returning from dinner our first night, the temp was up to 76. We contacted Beach Blue thru the app and they were prompt to respond, but thru some miscommunication, we didnt have anyone out to repair until late afternoon the next day. With us only staying a short time(5 nights), this was discouraging. And the result was the unit didnt work . The solution given was to open up the adjoining unit for us to use for sleeping purposes, but by doing so, our unit only ever got down to 73 degrees and this meant that all the living space, couch, dining room and kitchen were left feeling hot and humid. I wish another option was proposed or something different. On top of that, weather forced us indoors most of the trip, so it left us definitely wishing for a better experience. All in all, a bit of a miss
