We have stayed at the MainSail for the last ten years and enjoyed it. The condo was nice and had what we needed for Thanksgiving meal preparations.Disappointing that the tennis/pickleball courts were closed and not listed as such. Also the elevator closest to the unit was not working which I had specifically chosen a unit near the elevator for my 77yr old mom who can’t walk well.

Great location, great view. Condo was clean and well kept. Good beds. Laundry was helpful. No beach chairs with this unit (but that is clearly stated… so we weren’t surprised). 3 different coffee makers! Mainsail is a great complex and will always choose to stay here! Property managers were in great communication and everything was good.

Great place to stay!!! This is our 2nd stay. The dishwasher rack was broken and the handle to the master bathroom door but super easy fixes and nothing to make us change our minds about coming back next year.

Clean property with an ideal location to the beach. Choosing this unit is all about location and ease of beach access. This is now our 15th time to Main Sail, and this unit was in one of the better locations on the property. We like this property for its beach access and location to other Destin area attractions. We traveled down with tennis rackets to find the courts closed for repair. That would have been good information to know before flying down. Wasn’t worth complaining about. I’m sure the new courts will be nice for future guests. About the unit, it has a weird master bath remodel with no shower door. It made for cold showers and no privacy. Appliances are on their last leg. Microwave has some critical malfunction. Living room TV only got one channel. Master bedroom TV really no better. …. But we didn’t travel to the beach to watch TV, so wasn’t that big of a bother. The unit alone has seen some heavy renting and use and could use an update to furniture and appliances….and adding a shower door. That however didn’t detour our enjoyment for the week. We’d stay here again if the unit were updated. Real Joy vacation rentals made for ease of check in process, friendly staff, and were a good professional group to book through.

The condo was perfect, very clean and a short walk to the beach which was perfect for traveling with a toddler. We especially loved the stairs that led down from the balcony for easy access to the beach boardwalk.

Property was just as described in the list but was missing a really cool component. Private step access to the beach from the balcony! Ultra clean and easy check in check out. Definitely using Vrbo and RealJoy rentals again.

Perfect for the fam

This property was everything we needed. We stay in this area every year but this property is one of my faves. The layout of the condo, the second entrance from the deck was PERFECT especially if you have kids and anything needed for the beach. It was clean for what I expect for a condo so close to the water and the check in was super easy. The property team sent updates and notices before and throughout the stay so I didn’t have to worry about anything. Plus their guest portal was a life saver as I locked my phone in the condo twice so access to the code was a blessing. Plus the neighborhood was quiet and very kid friendly. No loud parties or disrespectful groups. Overall, great stay and would definitely recommend for others.

Great Location

We had a great stay at this property! The views were absolutely stunning—whether it was sunrise or sunset, we found ourselves constantly drawn to the scenery. The location was also very convenient, close to everything we needed but still peaceful and quiet.The grounds were well-kept and beautiful, and the groundskeepers were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It definitely added a welcoming touch to the experience.The only downside was the limited number of electrical outlets. A few of them didn’t even work, which made charging devices and plugging in essentials a bit inconvenient. Hopefully that’s something that gets addressed soon.Overall, a lovely place that we’d be happy to return to!

Great location - few quirks

The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the beach, which made our days so easy and enjoyable. The uniut itself was spacious and well-appointed for a family getaway.However, there were a few things we wish we had known ahead of time. The main pool on the property was not functioning during our stay, which was really disappointing since it was one of the features we were most looking forward to. While we were given access to a secondary pool in the back, it wasn’t nearly as nice, and we weren’t informed of the issue before arriving.Another heads-up for future guests: the kitchen has five coffee makers but only one carafe. One is a Keurig, so that helps.Lastly, the furniture could use a refresh. The couch had quite a few visible stains, and some of the decorative pillows were worn and stained as well. A deep clean would go a long way.That said, we still had a great time and loved the area. With a few updates and better communication, this would be a five-star stay.

The condo was a little tired - kind of grubby furniture. It was an okay stay - kitchen fine for basic cooking. The best feature was the easy access to the beach from our condo deck.The pool and hot tub were not open for the first 5 days of our trip. There was no communication in this prior to our arrival, which was disappointing.

Relaxing Family Vacation

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of August. We had no problems. The condo was as expected. Great location. Quick walk to pool and beach. Beautiful sunrises/sunsets. We brought our own beach chairs, wagon, umbrella, etc. Great family vacation.

One of the best condos at Mainsail when it comes to location. We’ve stayed in 13 different condos over the past 20 years at Mainsail. The only thing I suggest for this condo is more hand towels(there was one) and more hooks to hang certain thinks on. For instance, my parent’s condo has a wall hanging by the door with hooks for jackets.

Great trip and location

We loved our trip and the white sands and pool were in great walking distance. Made it easy for enjoying our time and relaxing with the conveniences close by with shopping. Few recommendations just for future stay. Have some Tupperware available for kitchen for our left overs. A few of the bathroom fixtures master bath need to be secured to wall better and water pressure in master bath improved. Maybe have some beach towels available if beach chair service is not part of rental. Overall we loved the location and beach life.

The location of this condo was nice because it was so close to the beach. The staff who let us in each time was friendly. The elevators were a bit run down though. They said they were gonna do construction which was fine but they were suppose to start at 8 but ended up started earlier.

The view of the beach was amazing! We stayed 10/27 - 10/31 and the weather was perfect! The connected townhouse was cute and quaint with 3 levels of decks. We didnt realize that the bottom level could only be accessed from exiting the middle level from the deck and going down the stairs outside but it worked. The only real complaint were all the beds were some degree of old and well worn (except the master on the top level wasn't bad). The pull out couch on the middle floor was completely unacceptable for anyone to sleep on. Oh and one of the pillows on the kitchen bench had a spill on it that didn't get cleaned. Other than that, the location was great and I'd definitely come back if these things were taken care of!
