Nice shady house and great dock.

The house is good, nice and shady lot, fire pit and plenty of outdoor seating. We like swings on the deck and on the ground floor, and even on the dock! All fishing friends loved the fishing rod holders right in the deck, very convenient! Adult and kids kayaks, pedal boat and all the accessories. The small fourth ("kids") bedroom with full/twin bunkbed is quite small and windowless, I don't think it works very well for multiple occupants, even for kids. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

Overall nice time

When we got to the property at 4:45, housekeeping was still there. Right after they left, the smoke alarm started chirping. Someone came to fix it promptly, it still chirped occasionally after he left though. Great location, a bit dated, mold on basement shower curtain, dirty carpet, but otherwise, a nice stay. I will say though, it is very hard to dock a pontoon on the side of the dock as the jet ski is blocking the docks tie off so we had to tie the boat to the poles resulting in a climb of about two feet onto the dock. I recommend not drinking the water from the bathroom taps,the water was very cloudy. Cleaning could be improved. Nice house otherwise.

Just lovely

The house is beautiful and very well stocked with kitchen items, games and kayaks. The downstairs games room was a hit and came in handy on rainy days. My son had a successful fishing outing which brought smiles all round. Only drawback for mobility issues is steep stairs inside and out and low toilets. There were TV's and sound systems galore. Views from house, deck and dock were beautiful and lots of trees for shade which might be a bonus in summer. RSI were very easy to work with and very thorough in their instructions. We totally enjoyed our week.

Great deal for the price!

Amazing location! The dock was beautiful, and the property was very nice. The house was spacious and even with 8 guests, we all had plenty of room. Just be warned; the driveway is VERY steep. It's in a very rural-ish area, but you are right by the neighbors. Here are the only cons: I wish we were provided trash bags and trash service (we had to take it offsite), some of the linens and sheets were stained, which was kind of gross, and we wish they provided some cleaning supplies, but it was still an amazing deal for the price. Overall, would recommend.

We had a great time at the lake, the house was perfect for our group. Beware of very steep driveway takes some getting used too. We only had one issue which was no ones fault but management jumped right on it and got it taken care of. Thank you for a great week.

Weekend at The Lake

The house was nice with enough room to accommodate all of us. The driveway is very steep and it is not mentioned in the description, so be ready to use your driving and parking skills. We paid for the linen service, what they don’t tell you is that you have to make your own beds upon arrival. The covers on all of the beds were dirty, had stains on them almost as if they hadn’t been washed in a few months. We ended up no using them and it did get cold at night, especially in the lower level. Aside from that it is a nice location on the lake.

Great communication & location

Rental agency was EXCELLENT to work with! House was as described. Beautiful lake property which we used kayaks, fished, sat outside on the decks, went for walks in the neighborhood, and cooked Thanksgiving dinner there! Kitchen was well stocked for our week with adult family members. We much appreciated the openness of the living room and living space over all. My only complaint is that I wish I didn't spend the money for the linen package - definitely not worth the expense, and I am not sure what we paid for! After driving 8 + hours to get there we had to spend our time making all the beds, the towels were cheap, plus there were no kitchen dish towels. I guess I paid a LOT of money for someone to wash and fold the towels and sheets. It's not like they were new! But over all the house is an excellent lake house and we loved the easy access down to the water. Very quiet street to walk on. We went hiking off Blue Ridge parkway, Smith Mountain State Park and went to D-Day Memorial. When we got there we wiped everything down ourselves...just to be safe...and everything was very clean.

Fun in Moneta

The whole process of renting this property was very easy and efficient. For us the only negative to the whole property was that it didn’t have a flat yard for the kids to play in. But I love the open floor floor plan in the kitchen and living room and the second level.

Wonderful & Relaxing

The house was great for our crowd. I love the open kitchen, dining room and den area. The L shaped couch had enough room for all of us to sit and relax. The bedrooms were adequately furnished and I loved that every bedroom has a patio door that opens to the deck and overlooks the Lake. The AC worked great and the home was very clean. The steep driveway is a little challenging and only has enough room for 2 or 3 cars to park to unload. This home has a lot of shade trees, which is great and covers the deck til 3 pm. However, with a lot of trees, comes a lot of spiders. Every time we were on the deck we would see several spiders. Going down to the dock was also very spidery and we would take a broom to clear the path every day. But within hours the spider webs would be blocking the walkway again. Some of the spiders, big spiders, even found their way into the home and scared my daughter in law very much. The house is equipped with Roku TV which would be great except the internet service buffers a lot. My son used his hot spot for the rainy times we wanted to watch a movie. I am looking for another rental for next year, mainly because of the spiders and a level piece of yard for the children to play in.

Great Location, Beautiful, Spacious Home

This house exceeded expectations. The location is quiet, yet close to everything you need. The home provides lots of entertainment options, and the high ceilings make it feel super spacious. The dock and the lakefront were even, even for a toddler. We would definitely come back for another visit!
