Hotel Monewden

« Used the spa - staff in spa were lovely. Though two masseuses. both my partner and I booked the same treatment. We had completely different experiences. Both half hour one finished after 20 mins and one was full half hour. Lunch with the spa - the spa man who was lovely had to serve it. The restaurant staff refused to do anything. Didn’t clear plates nothing. 4 tables in there and 5 staff stood behind the bar talking ignoring my presence for a few minutes, I left and returned and when I asked...

« The property was clean. George and Jordan were very welcoming. There was a choice of continental breakfast or cooked breakfast. Parking is free. We were really happy with our king room, there is a shower, toilet, sink and bath in our room. The bedroom is very big, wardrobes. Two very Happy customers and will definitely be back there again. »

« Great hotel and restaurant »

« Hotel très plaisant, restaurant avec des plats variés, pub avec un large choix de bierres. Accueil très sympathique. »

« Place was clean and lovely and staff very helpful. I would’ve loved to have found out what the “meal deal” was in the lounge though. And no air conditioning so our room was sooooo hot at night. We had a fan that helped but was so hard to sleep. I understand it’s not the hotels fault but yeah it wasn’t as hot outside anymore it seemed to retain the heat from the last few months still »

« Outstanding. Everything and all staff and waters all are outstanding. No words can describe my satisfaction. Probably the best sleep i got since a very long time in an organic heritage hotel very quiet and warm town. All TV and coffee bar are modern and clean and convenient. I really liked the biscuits made by the chief in the room with a cup of coffee ar 6:00 am overlooking a peaceful and historic 1600s downtown. The breakfast and English muffins mushrooms and eggs are fresh and made with...

« Lovely venue »

« Parking good , lots of shopping and food close Garden and kitchen are great »

« Propreté impeccable, équipements neufs, matelas très confortable. Mais chambre trop petite (ne pouvait pas faire le tour du lit, aucune table et chaise, juste le lit, les murs de chaque côté) Calme, et bien insonorisé »

« Bâtiment typique, avec pub. Les repas et les petits-déjeuners sont très bien (qualité et quantité). Le patron est extra, de bon conseil. Bonne ambiance générale. »

« Séjour agréable / pleasant stay Personnel agréable et discret / Friendly staff but non-intrusive Proche de la gare, il y a donc un peu de bruit, à déconseiller à ceux qui ont le sommeil léger / Close to the train station and there is some noise, so if you're a light sleeper, it may not be for you. Hôtel simple, chambres propre / Basic hotel, clean room Chambre donnant sur le parc, plus calme que les chambres donnant sur rue / Room with view on a public park, quieter than the rooms on the...

« There was only one member of staff on reception at check in time which means multiple guests have to wait to check in. We went for lunch and had to ask firstly to order drinks and then again to order food. Unfortunately the burgers were way over cooked and the waiter had no incling that this might not be acceptable. It is unfathomable to me based on the price that a full breakfast wouldn’t be included in room rate. »

« Tres bon hotel. Chambre propre et assez spacieuse »

« La chambre est impeccable le personnel est très sympathique »
