« The lodge is beautiful and wonderful surroundings The view is amazing. Very clean and cosy and home from home with everything you need. Hot tub went down well with all. Dafydd was very welcoming and was just at the end of the phone if we needed anything. Already booked for another weekend! »

« The hosts were fabulous and blew is away with their welcome pack but is not suitable to sleep 4. Everything is just in one room and there's only seating for 2 unless you want to sit on a bar stool. The layout also needs rethinking because at one point my wife was in bed having a cup of tea and waved to the hosts as they pulled up in their car. If they switched the sofa and bed you'd get more privacy and be able to watch the tv from the sofa. Otherwise, it was great. Would recommend for a couple. »

« We booked at the last minute for a 2 night stay and was delighted with the log cabin which was spotless. The use of the garden was an added bonus being able to walk around rather than being restricted to our terrace. Clive and Kaeron were good hosts being friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it very much. »

« The quirky nature of the Shepherds Hut combined with the superb location were what appealed to us & we were 'not' disappointed! The Hut was beautiful & incredibly well kitted out with everything you could need. The welcome pack was a lovely touch & very much appreciated. We travelled with our pet dog & it was reassuring to be able to close the gate & know he was safe & secure. It was lovely to be able to watch the alpacas in the field by the hut too! This is a fantastic place to stay & unwind...

« Our experience was perplexing from the start, with directions so inadequate that we had to ask the way. When we arrived I was attacked by geese at large in the grounds. Despite profuse apologies from the owner's wife, and the geese then confined to a wired pen, the owner said he wouldn't be lectured, walking away when I offered some advice on the facilities. There was no TV, no WiFi connection facilitated, no freezer compartment in the fridge, not even a teapot or breadbin. To compound our...

« We really enjoyed our stay, The shepherds hut exceeded our expectations, well equipped, cosy and in a great private location overlooking the forest. The hut was so lovely and warm with central heating and a log burner, the bed was comfortable, and the fixtures and fittings looked brand new. Also the rainfall shower was a lovely surprise. Would recommend and will be back for another visit. Thank you »

« We had a wonderful five nights in top barn! The views are incredible the barn is small but cosy. Cathy was great stayed in touch, and we loved the local gifts left as well. We visited lots of castles, explored the beautiful Wye Valley and walked some of Offa's way too. Highly recommend. »
