This review is for travelers spending a week or more at The Little Window. We returned to the US after two weeks in Moreton in Marsh staying at The Little Window. Firstly, and best of all, is the cottage's proximity to public transportation, both bus and railroad. It simply can't be beat. If you are traveling this area without a car, a train from Paddington will drop you at the Moreton in Marsh Station. An excellent market called the CO-OP has everything you need for your stay. It is right next to the train station- just ask someone at the station how to get there. From there, wheel your luggage down to the cottage which is next to The Swan Inn -about a seven minute walk. Secondly, across the street from the cottage(in front of the Lynwood Bakery) is a bus stop that takes you to some of the best villages - cheap and easy!Little Window is a seriously ancient cottage- quirky, dark, and a little bit spooky. It is very charming though and will grow on you. We made some cheerful touches for ourselves with flower bouquets from Tesco Express- a two minute walk from the cottage. Launderette is close, too.The bed linens are a bit worn and the old place could use a little maintenance, but any personal touches your family can give the place will brighten it up. There is no working fireplace. Put U-Tube on the TV and search for fireplaces and check out the options. This worked perfectly and gave us a cosy feeling on rainy mornings. Communication with owner is very good; he tries.
