The unit was well equipped, comfortable and peaceful. Laundry was in the unit. We had everything we needed. Brush up on your apple tv skills. It was too complicated for me:)

This was a lovely place to stay. It’s located in a quiet rural area that was only about 20 minutes from Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. This basement apartment was spacious, comfortable, and very nicely decorated. It looked to be newly renovated with quality materials and appliances. While there was no standard oven, the microwave is also a convection oven/air fryer, which worked out just fine. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and were able to relax each evening after fun days exploring the area.

We had a wonderful stay in this quiet, peaceful cabin, perfectly nestled in a beautiful wooded area. The décor is nicely done, reflecting Maine’s beaches, mountains, lakes, and forests — it gives the home a true sense of place.The cabin was super clean and well-kept, with handy amenities like a washer and dryer. The grill, though small, worked well, and the cooktop was fairly efficient once it warmed up. A couple of small touches would make it even better — drink coasters and a few more cup towels.The location is excellent — close to Acadia National Park and not far from Bar Harbor. That said, we found ourselves especially enjoying Southwest Harbor with its great restaurants and Northeast Harbor with its charming, unpretentious village feel.Overall, a peaceful and comfortable retreat in a beautiful setting. We’d be happy to return!

My 84 year old father and I had a delightful stay in this beautifully modern and extremely clean apartment. Great proximity to other family staying in Somesville, at Mt Desert Campground - and in Manset. The ride into Bar Harbor etc is not far at all. Kira was so accomodating but at the same time respected our privacy. The grounds are gorgeous and the approach to the house is wonderfully 'Maine'.Definitely looking to rebook for next year!

Extremely secluded and well-designed/curated apartment near Somesville— with easy access to all of Acadia- great swimming options and hikes nearby. We loved everything about this special place.

The Perfect Maine Stay

This was the perfect place to stay! Great location for everything to see on Mount Desert Island, and close to Acadia National Park! Nestled in the quiet woods, the owner takes great care of the home. It was a very clean and well-kept space, larger than we anticipated! Would absolutely stay here for our next visit to Maine!!

A nice getaway!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The location is away from main roads, and very quiet (which we loved!) It is a basement apartment with everything you need. Only 20 minutes from the main shopping area. The host was wonderful! A few things to be aware of: there’s no walkway to the door (you just walk across the grass), and there’s no stove/oven (they have a plug in cook top instead which worked great). We had a great time and would totally rent here again!!

Lovely retreat on the quiet side of Mt Desert Island]

We stayed here for a visit to Mt Desert Island. The apartment is located away from the crowds, but not a long drive to get anywhere. It had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and it was just what we needed after hiking/sightseeing during the day.

Beautiful hideaway in Acadia

Beautiful space to stay if you are planning on multiple days in Acadia ! Loved coming back to this space. Cannot imagine staying anywhere else as I loved cooking breakfast/packing lunches before hitting the park for the day! And doing laundry before we left was a huge bonus. Also, as an early riser back home, my dream was to sleep in and one of the bedrooms has no windows (which is an huge bonus to me as I am very light sensitive while sleeping ) and I was able to sleep in until 7 one day! This hasn’t happened for years. If you prefer to wake early, the other bedroom has windows ;-) Beds were very comfortable. Apartment is very well decorated and charming. Thanks for a great stay!

Maine Fall Getaway

The property is well appointed and decorated very nicely. It was super clean and my wife and I enjoyed the big screen TV at night to watch playoff baseball. Kara always responded quickly with answers to my questions about good places to eat and a good supermarket. She was also very helpful in providing information about Acadia National Park. The location is great and be sure to check out the night sky for stars. AMAZING!! We would recommend this property for anyone looking for a Maine getaway.

Quiet Charming Stay for Honeymoon

My wife and I stayed at this location for our honeymoon and we enjoyed it greatly. The property is the downstairs portion of the renters home and they were very helpful throughout the stay. Due to a storm we briefly lost power but the owners were very helpful and considerate during that brief time.

Mother/Daughter Trip

This apartment is located in a quiet setting which was exactly what we needed after a long day of hiking in Acadia. It had everything we needed to orepare our meals. Beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Visit to Acadia National Park

This rental was a pleasant surprise. It is clean and modern and well stocked with all the amenities you could ever need. The host has done a terrific job. The weather did not cooperate with lots of rain anf fog so it helped to come back each day to this little cottage nestled in the woods.

The perfect stay!

We could not have been happier with our stay! The apartment is SO clean and cozy. You can tell there was a lot of thought out into every detail. She had everything to make our stay very convenient. The washer and dry came in very handy, too. Whenever we had a question, Kara responded very quickly. Her and her husband are so kind. I searched for days looking for a stay, but for the quality and price- this was the best for sure!

A great retreat in the woods

We loved our stay 15 minutes away from the crowds of Bar Harbor. The Host was responsive and prompt to our questions. We would have loved an outdoor grill to be available to us.

Quiet property in the woods

The location was perfect for our day trips into Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and the rest of Mt. Desert Island.The apartment was very clean and comfortable, a nice place to come back to after hiking and exploring all day. The provided cooler was a bonus find. Little things like this are very thoughtful. Kara was easy to communicate with and very prompt to respond to messages. We would definitely stay here again!
