This was the perfect place to stay! Great location for everything to see on Mount Desert Island, and close to Acadia National Park! Nestled in the quiet woods, the owner takes great care of the home. It was a very clean and well-kept space, larger than we anticipated! Would absolutely stay here for our next visit to Maine!!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. The location is away from main roads, and very quiet (which we loved!) It is a basement apartment with everything you need. Only 20 minutes from the main shopping area. The host was wonderful! A few things to be aware of: thereā€™s no walkway to the door (you just walk across the grass), and thereā€™s no stove/oven (they have a plug in cook top instead which worked great). We had a great time and would totally rent here again!!

We stayed here for a visit to Mt Desert Island. The apartment is located away from the crowds, but not a long drive to get anywhere. It had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and it was just what we needed after hiking/sightseeing during the day.

Beautiful space to stay if you are planning on multiple days in Acadia ! Loved coming back to this space. Cannot imagine staying anywhere else as I loved cooking breakfast/packing lunches before hitting the park for the day! And doing laundry before we left was a huge bonus. Also, as an early riser back home, my dream was to sleep in and one of the bedrooms has no windows (which is an huge bonus to me as I am very light sensitive while sleeping ) and I was able to sleep in until 7 one day! This hasnā€™t happened for years. If you prefer to wake early, the other bedroom has windows ;-) Beds were very comfortable. Apartment is very well decorated and charming. Thanks for a great stay!

The property is well appointed and decorated very nicely. It was super clean and my wife and I enjoyed the big screen TV at night to watch playoff baseball. Kara always responded quickly with answers to my questions about good places to eat and a good supermarket. She was also very helpful in providing information about Acadia National Park. The location is great and be sure to check out the night sky for stars. AMAZING!! We would recommend this property for anyone looking for a Maine getaway.

My wife and I stayed at this location for our honeymoon and we enjoyed it greatly. The property is the downstairs portion of the renters home and they were very helpful throughout the stay. Due to a storm we briefly lost power but the owners were very helpful and considerate during that brief time.

This rental was a pleasant surprise. It is clean and modern and well stocked with all the amenities you could ever need. The host has done a terrific job. The weather did not cooperate with lots of rain anf fog so it helped to come back each day to this little cottage nestled in the woods.

We could not have been happier with our stay! The apartment is SO clean and cozy. You can tell there was a lot of thought out into every detail. She had everything to make our stay very convenient. The washer and dry came in very handy, too. Whenever we had a question, Kara responded very quickly. Her and her husband are so kind. I searched for days looking for a stay, but for the quality and price- this was the best for sure!

The location was perfect for our day trips into Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and the rest of Mt. This apartment was just what we needed. The location was perfect. It was really quiet and we were only 15 to 30 minutes away from all of the trails we wanted to hike in Acadia National Park. The apartment was clean and nicely furnished. There were even some pods for the Keurig coffee maker. The owners were very nice and provided some suggestions for restaurants and other activities. We would definitely stay here again!

this space was great- bigger than what the two of us needed, but it was nice to have extra space! beds were comfortable, bathroom was very nice, everything was extremely clean. it was about 15 minutes to Bar Harbor and, depending on the entrance, about 15 into Acadia. would definitely stay here again. absolutely beautiful landscape too!

Perfect sport for our family to stay for our first visit to Acadia. We hiked all day and were grateful for a clean, comfortable, quiet place to rest at night. Location was perfect: we were glad to be on Mount Desert Island so we were close to all the hikes and sights, and we purposefully stayed away from Bar Harbor to avoid the crowds (but we were early enough in June that it wasn't too busy.) Kara responded quickly to our grocery store question ~ a quick trip to Bar Harbor for groceries meant we could cook breakfasts and suppers here and pack lunches and trail snacks for our fun filled days. A fabulous vacation!

We loved our stay. The basement apartment is very spacious and clean. The kitchen had all we needed to make occasional meals during our stay. There is no dishwasher, but we didnā€™t mind since it was only the two of us. We did find the cleaning fee steep since we were instructed to start the laundry for the linens and have the kitchen clean.
