We found "Woods Upon A Time" to be the perfect stay for 2 couples. Old friends for nearly 45 years getting together to catch up on each others lives and families. July brought us 90-92 degrees for 3 days. No problem, the AC system kept the cabin as cold as we could stand, sleeping very well. All the beds, especially the King were excellent. Summer showers allowed us to sit on the covered porch and visit in comfort. Too hot for a fire in the excellent fire pit, so we used it to enjoy a cooling breeze while sitting around the circle and telling lies! Ha! The cabin was furnished perfectly, nothing substandard in any way. Very good job done when Maria and David remodeled it. They were excellent hosts and very responsive. We tried their suggested restaurants and found them to be excellent. Poor Parson's Pub served us freshly flown in Blackened Swordfish filets and Double cut pork chops. Excellent but a little pricey. Shoebooties was excellent and reasonable cost. Both in downtown Murphy. For the best breakfast ever, drive to Blairsville to the Hole in the Wall restaurant in the city square. In business since 1931. Yum! We also did the riverwalk and visited neat shops in Murphy. Very good historical town, source for the Trail of Tears of Cherokee Indian population. One of our country's most shameful actions. A great visit in a super cabin. We will be back! Charlie H.
