„When we arrived, the house REEKED of cigarette smoke. We had to air the house out the entire first day and we could still smell it on the towels and faintly in the air. Clearly, the people before us did not follow the rules. We notified the host right away - he was very responsive. „Nice place. We cooked meals inside on the stove but also over a fire at the fire pit. There is a small creek behind the cabin that runs when it rains out. That was pretty cool. No nearby light pollution so the sky is really dark at night and you can see a lot of stars. Overall a great experience. Two wineries close by. It's on the wine trail. Close to everything in Southern Illinois. We went to all the state parks.“
