Highly Recommended! We had a wonderful stay at the rental cottages. The area is beautiful and peaceful, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with cozy beds that made for a great nightās sleep. Itās an ideal spot for family or friends to gather.Host Marissa was very friendly and provided clear, detailed instructions on how to get there ā though the place was easy to find. We truly enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend it to others!
Very clean and neat. Everything was in its place and was secure and safe. Host was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. Enjoyed our stay.
Absolutely loved our stay at Pepperwood Place. It was well equipped with everything we needed, and then some. Lots of space and natural light. Beautifully decorated. Private. Comfortable. Clean. Fabulous shower. Great kitchen area. Wonderful!
The location of the property is great with easy access to the Avenue of the Giants, local market, gas station, freeway, etc.
The property is very clean, kitchen is well equipped, and the owner, Marisa, is very responsive to our needs and queries. She even generously provided us with free range organic eggs. I would highly recommend this property to my friends or anyone.
Very attractive architecture and natural materials in this well-designed two story building, carefully built into a wooded hillside. Particularly wonderful large covered front porch for hanging out, eating, playing games, close to nature. Good privacy and fine windows for fresh air and views. Great modern kitchen with small table for up to 4 persons, comfy livingroom; downstairs two attractive comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom with a fine shower. A short walk outside leads to great views or to a higher level seating area with a beautiful small pond complete with water lilies and small fish! The driveway to get there is somewhat steep and bumpy (fine in our Forester) and nearby highway noise is audible. Two large local dogs, friendly but nervy, visited the front porch/deck and started to make off with shoes outside the front door; they didn't take them far....
This property was beautiful, unfortunately we got in kind of late and had to leave right away in the morning. This was just a quick stop on our way south. Our family of 5 has outgrown hotel suites because of the pull out couches in a double queen suites, they are often horrible beds. This place had two bedrooms with queen beds I believe and also a queen blow up mattress upstairs in the living room. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved our short stay. If youāre in the area of Avenue of the Giants I would recommend this place!
Stayed with my spouse and mother-in-law as we explored the Redwoods. Very easy to find right off the highway but far enough away that road noise was not an issue (there is a closer road but it was partially closed so road noise was even lower than normal). Behind a secure automatic gate with a few other accommodations. The drive up to the stay was fairly steep so be aware you may need to push the gas up the gravel more than you're comfortable doing. The property itself is excellent; well-furnished and immaculate. There is a massive outdoor covered seating area which is nice as they request no shoes indoors. Large living-room/dining area with a fully stocked kitchen; everything you could possibly need is in the kitchen. Bedrooms and bathroom is downstairs. Both bedrooms are the rightsize for two occupants each (and accompanying bags). Each room has a remote-controlled fan to regulate temperature. Bathroom is pretty standard with excellent water pressure in the shower head. A very comfortable stay and would recommend if you're in the area.
Everything was just right! Well-stocked and comfortable; owner was as nice and communicative as can be. Definitely would recommend and would love to stay here again in the heart of such a beautiful setting.
The home is very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our 2 night stay. The property was pretty and quiet, felt very safe and private. It was a very convenient location for exploring the area.
What a wonderful find this cute little cottage was. Located just minutes away from the Avenue of the Giants, tucked in among the trees. Clean and well cared for place that welcomed our family of 4 with everything we needed during our 5-day stay -- well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, beautiful calm views of trees. Pepperwood is one of three cottages on the property but the location of the buildings allows for complete privacy for each.
During our stay we visited Founders Grove and hugged thousand-year-old rdwoods. Just 15 minutes away in Garberville we indulged in a delicious breakfast at Eel River Cafe. The small town of Leggett has a drive-through Chandelier Tree and this giant is simply incredible. If you have time to drive to Eureka, make sure to visit Eureka Zoo Skywalk -- unforgettable.
Our days were filled with exploring the area and in the evening this small little cottage provided a comfy and quiet place to rest and recharge for the next day's adventure. There is a little meadow with the fire pit and chairs -- we roasted marshmallows and stargazed. Around the property we saw blue jays, magpies and heard bird songs of many others. Wild turkeys were roaming around as well, kids were delighted to see them.
Marisa was an incredible host who was just a phone call away if needed.
Highly recommend if you are looking for a change of scenery and connecting to nature.
This is a fine property, one of the best short term rentals Iāve experienced. Its setting is serene, with nice forested scenery outside the windows. The large covered desk is a huge plus. The host is professional and responsive to needs. And the location is very convenient for both local attractions and services.
The property was very nice and very clean!! Also very well equipped with anything you might need. Marisa was an amazing host! We had a very relaxing comfortable stay.
