Stunning view

We had a fantastic stay at this place! The location couldn’t have been better, with easy access to everything we wanted to explore. The property was spotless.The host was incredibly responsive, always quick to assist with any questions or requests. And the view? Absolutely stunning—definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch experience!

Great stay

Our family of 4 plus the grandparents enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us and the house was very clean. We enjoyed the view with our morning coffee inside and outside. We would definitely stay here again.

My family stayed here in August. This house is in a great location! It was in the middle of all the activities that we wanted to do and allowed decent drives to Corolla, Manteo, and Hatteras. The house was very spacious and allowed enough room for 4 adults without being cramped. It was a short drive to public beach access too. The quiet and peaceful canal was a nice back drop with the outdoor living space and would have been great for paddle boarding or kayaking. The house is even better than the description and clean. We had a small issue upon check in involving the lock, however the owner was waiting at the house for us and was already in the works of problem solving. He came up with a selfless temporary fix for the week, which allow us to the ability to come and go as we pleased, while providing safety and security. We never were contacted by the property management team (Vacasa) to give us a heads up on the issue with the lock, but dealing directly with owner we had no issues. We would definitely consider returning to this house in the future.

Unfortunately, we were traveling during Hurricane Debby and were not able to access this property. The area was under a state of emergency with flooding and road closures. We asked about a credit to be able to travel when it was safe for our family or even a refund on the cleaning fee since we never stepped foot on the property. Vacasa who manages the property stated that “unless there is a mandatory evacuation, we will not help.” They even sent us tips for what to do during a tornado or other effects from the storm. Sadly, we cannot remark about the property due to not be able to travel to it.

Great location, and beautiful house

The pictures is exactly how the house was displayed. Beautiful decor and everything you would need for an extended stay. Complimentary items were left like toilet paper, paper towels, washing pods, dishwasher pods, soap/shampoo and dish soap which is a great help when you're traveling. We did a lot of sight seeing during our stay but enjoyed the location of the house.

Magical!

Just.. dreamy....you can imagine you are in your own little slide of paradise. The home feels luxurious, cozy, clean, and beautifully designed. The only thing that was misleading, the ads show the TVs with netflix, hulu, Disney and various other streaming services, but they don't actually have them available. You must bring your own accounts, which we don't have, so a cold December weekend we planned to curl up and watch TV didn't really work out that way. Doesn't matter, our trip got cut short for family emergency, so we are trying to find a time to come back asap we loved it so much.

Quiet waterside

It is pretty obvious that the home has recently been renovated and they did a fine job. Simple, tasteful and comfortable. Open and spacious with nice size rooms, great beds. Central location makes is pretty easy to visit from Corolla to Orcacoke while there. Restaurants and shopping nearby. Nice sunrise and sunset over the water. While not on a beach or bay, the canal is clean and you can sit on the bay at the small neighborhood beach just down the street. Very nice outdoor seating on two levels and lots of glass in the living area to enjoy the views.

This is a well managed, well equipped and comfortable vacation home. It has all modern conveniences to make your stay seamless. The views of the canal are beautiful and the location is ideal for exploring the OXB coastline.

Well Maintained and Very Clean

My husband and son had a great time staying here. The place is just as described and is very clean and well maintained. My son loved the outdoor shower! Would recommend maybe a getting grill a little better then the small charcoal grill provided outside. Overall it was a wonderful stay!

We loved this place. Everything looked brand new. The set up of the house, and the outdoor space was fantastic. The location on the quiet canal, but only a few blocks from the beach, is ideal. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores are close by. Can highly recommend!!

The location was central to food, shopping, etc. and the view of the canal and bay from the sunroom was wonderful. Valentine’s Day weekend
