Property was very nice and clean. My only issue was that there was a light on outside our door and shown right into our area where we were trying to sleep. The door could use some blinds or a curtain to fix this. I would definitely stay again!

It was the best time I’ve had in a long time!! Very nice place to stay. So close to the beach ,almost on the sand (we enjoyed the Sand Spur experience !!!! Loved it 👍

Staff was amazing! My cabin was ready before check in time. Cabin was decent. Footsteps to the ocean. Overall a great stay.

Pros: great location (walking distance to few local restaurants, the beach, and a pier), easy check-in, spacious rooms Cons: the bathrooms/showers were not that presentable (maybe consider replacing shower curtains) and some of the towels had stains

We loved staying here for a quick getaway off season trip. Although the weather wasn't the best, we made the most of it. Office staff was great to work with and even turned some lights on for our late arrival

Fantastic last minute stay.. loved the communication she called ahead and let me know my room number and code and a little bit about the property. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Great value for the money
Our stay at SandSpur was wonderful. Very reasonably priced. The cottage was neat and clean. The owner greeted us and she was very pleasant and helpful. We got excellent sleep as the beds were not overly firm. The beach was a stone's throw away. We don't have pets, but it was nice to know that they are welcome (as long as you look after them, of course).

The room was clean and had a kitchenette which was an added bonus. I like the easy access to the beach, the fact it was close to the pier and some very nice local restaurants.

Charming, clean cottage on the beach.
This place was charming right on the beach. The office staff was so friendly and found us a great dining experience not even a Mike away. I would definitely pans stay at this property again. The other guests were so friendly. We needed ice and they told me to help myself and leave the 3 dollars in the key drop box or bring it to the office before we leave. She said were very laid back and work on the honor system 😊

The was not a good stay. Do not believe the high quality rating that I saw when I made this reservation. If you are nostalgic for a 60's era roadside motel, with original carpeting and plywood paneling, then this is your place. The windows in the door, that did not have a deadbolt lock, made ouir stay feel unsafe and lacked privacy. There is no ocean view from you cabin unless you walk through the parking lot, and over the berm.

Nice, quaint old school motor court. Great access to the beach, friendly staff and convenient to everything. Bathroom & Shower are small but functional. Bed was a little hard.

Easiest check in ever, the office was closed, so you call the number on the door they check you in and give you a code!! Cute cozy little spit right at the beach with a pool!! We liked it so much we booked an extra night

Staff was nice. Beach was close. Things to do nearby. Check-in was fast over the phone. Someone had a dog next door to us, barking, very annoying. Sand in the bed sheets on the made beds. I would recommend again, negative things were small issues (bring your own sheets and hope no one has dogs).

Location is Everything
While this place is very no frills, it is clean and is in a great location. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but the place itself has all that we needed and was very budget friendly. The inside could use some updating, but the outside is very cute and quaint. We loved that it had keyless entry, and it was right on the beach.

Well this place was perfect for a quick weekend trip for my family. Right on the beach, clean, pool, full fridge and oven. If you’re coming to the banks to enjoy the beach and not the million dollar house you’ll never be able to afford, then come here. No glitz, no glam, but perfect for the fisherman or beach bum. You can walk to the pier and several restaurants from here. My wife and I and our kids (7yo, 6months), stayed in an “economy studio” which was plenty of space for us. We really used the room to sleep and shower and that was about it, but it was very clean and comfortable. I will book again in the future. Only complaint I’d have is that the bathroom was tight, but that’s about it.

Cottages, most expensive lodging on our trip without any of the amenities such as free tea/coffee/hotwater, shampoo. They also require you to clean anything you used in the kitchen yourself. I assume they charge you extra if a teacup is wet. Bathroom as well as the rest needs uptading. Wifi did not work for us. It worked slow or not at all. I am not sure about charges yet. We booked a room for 6 through expedia and got a room for 4 adults. Not a big issue because we are only 4 but hoped for a pull-out couch and more space. It was quiet besides dehumidifier and air conditioning. Location close to ocean is nice.

Cynthia was excellent! She is very friendly and welcoming! We arrived early and she got us checked in immediately! (While she was also cleaning rooms) The property is amazing! Very clean! Proximity to pool and beach are great! Nice,friendly,family oriented atmosphere. Well lit outside at night. We had the best time and this will be our vacation destination for years to come!!!!

One of the beds was in bad shape. It was not leveled and hurt our back and neck. I would go back if only they replaced the bed. The floor under the dining table had some drinks spilled and it was sticky, the bottom part of the stove needs cleaning, and two spots on the ceiling had visible sign of water leaks and warped. But overall, it was a good experience there.
