Great New London Home

This was the perfect place to stay during a trip to New London with some friends. We enjoyed the huge living space of the rental, the great location, and wonderful conversation with the owners. I would absolutely stay here again!

We had a wonderful visit to New London while we were moving our child to college! The house is bright, airy, clean, comfortable and beautiful. It’s conveniently located, close to downtown New London. The backyard is gorgeous and the pool was great. The hosts are just lovely people and made the process so easy and seamless! We will definitely be back!

Perfect stay at The Hideaway. Wonderful Hosts, beautiful gardens. We breezed into town for two show's at Mohegan and getting transportation to and from was easy. House was very clean and towels a plenty! Would book again:)

Gracious hosts and lovely home

The homeowners of this property could not have been more welcoming. They provided us that all we could need for our family getaway. Very clean property with beautiful gardens. Very short drive to beaches, ferry, landmarks and restaurants making it a very convenient location.

Clean, comfortable and convenient!

Very nice property, all newly built and the owners did a great job making a great, 2 bedroom rental complete with parking, private access, a pool, big kitchen and living space. We stayed here as a family of 4 and it was very comfortable and close distance to all the local attractions. Very clean with everything we needed for our visit and more included. The owners were extremely kind and accommodating.

Wonderful visit

My old friend and I met up with our children and had a fabulous stay. The apartment was very modern, clean and homey. Nancy and Jimmy were the perfect hosts with great communication and very hospitable vibes. I would recommend for anyone who thinks of staying with them!

Wonderful

Beautify house, we especially appreciated the attention to detail in every room. Spacious for a family of five, extremely clean, comfortable, excellent quality equipment and utensils. We were able to use the pool in the garden, which was a real bonus.

Took away so much more than a visit to the Mystic area

The property and gardens are just beautiful but it was our hosts Jim and Nancy the made our trip so special. They go out of their way to make sure every aspect of your stay is prefect. Not only providing guest parking passes at the beach, a hand-written welcome card, all the beach equipment you could need but also providing and extending their friendship and kindness to welcome you to their home. Our trip was to visit the Mystic area, swim in the ocean, visit the aquarium, dine in the seaside restaurants but we brought back so much more. Our lives are forever impacted by a wonderful friendship nurtured by the generosity of our fabulous hosts, Jim and Nancy.

A Little Piece of Home

Nancy and Jimmy provided an excellent experience for our family’s first vacation! Their home is clean and well stocked from the kitchen, to the bathroom, to the bedrooms, and even the dining room had some family fun tucked inside the drawers. Nancy has done a wonderful job inside and Jimmy has done a phenomenal job outside with all of his wonderful flowers, lush plants, and perhaps the greenest and softest grass we’ve felt!We love dogs and their dog Cinnamon is as friendly a host as they are , and despite the (constant) requests from my husband to let Cinnamon visit with us (and sleep-over) upstairs, Nancy was kind and considerate to think of any future guests they might have who could have a dog allergy.We cannot say enough about how amazing Nancy & Jimmy were, and that they treated us as family. If we are to return to this area, there is NO other place we’ll stay.

Home away from home!

My family had a great week! The rental came with a beach pass to Ocean Beach on the Sound. Which was great for all my kids, the big kids enjoyed the water slides, and my little guy loved the splash area. The location is a beautiful garden oasis and Jim & Nancy were always available to offer great suggestions. They took every measure and went far beyond expectations to ensure we had a memorable stay. We took in the Mystic area and were close enough for an easy drive to Misquamicut Beach for waves. The rental conveniently offered beach chairs and boogie boards which saved us from having to pack extra beach gear. I plan to return again!

Trip to see our sailor

We took this trip to see our sailor after a very long deployment, and wow I can’t say enough about Jim and Nancy they truly thought of everything for this home . I must say I was a little detoured from wanting to stay with the owners right below but let me tell you do not let that keep you from staying here this is the most comfortable stay very close to the navel base plenty of comfortable beds and linens everything you need for a little person seems how we was traveling with a little one , this truly is a gem much better than a hotel which we stayed at last time we came and I imagine if you come in the summer months the pool would just be and extra blessings we are so thankful we stayed ! And wow such a great price . Thank you again Jim and Nancy for making us so comfortable and such an enjoyable time with our son . Should the occasion arise again we definitely would stay here !

Great weekend getaway

This place was so wonderful. It looked brand new, was super clean, and had all the necessary supplies to cook meals. The couch and beds were comfortable. Nancy and Jim were very hospitable hosts by securing us street parking, welcomed up upon our arrival, and gave the kids pumpkins on our departure day. Such a touching sentiments. We will definitely try and book her again on our next trip up.

This Property is exceptionally clean and the attention to detail for visitors comfort is superior. The hosts are very friendly, and the place is very quiet. While it did rain, we did not use the swimming pool, but definitely would stay here again when we come back to visit the Coast Guard Academy.

My family and I traveled to New London to attend the Coast Guard Academy Homecoming. Jimmy and Nancy’s beautiful place was the Perfect home-base for all our weekend activities. Very clean and well appointed… we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend.

Jimmy and Nancy’s place was fantastic. Very clean and stylish with everything you needed. In a great location, right near the beach, great places to eat, and other major attractions in nearby Mystic which they’ve taken the time to share in a very detailed welcome binder. The apartment is perfect for families especially as Jimmy and Nancy thought through every detail to make their place feel like home. They included special touches like plastic utensils and disinfectant wipes and even accommodated the little ones with toddler dishes and utensils, a baby gate, high chair, booster seat and age-appropriate pool toys. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was ridiculously well kept and had a homey feel. The owners were the nicest and extremely caring for anything we needed. The only issue we had were the mattresses were uncomfortable. Everything else was perfect but hopefully they get the mattress toppers we discussed because it was very difficult to sleep on the mattresses they had. Otherwise, easy 5 stars.

Home away from home and super friendly, welcoming hosts

Our family of 4 with 2 teens spent 4 nights at this wonderful newly remodeled, and well equipped home with new appliances. We were greeted by the hosts with a personalized binder full of helpful suggestions and a s’mores kit for the kids. Location was perfect for exploring Mystic, Stonington, New Haven, Hartford, and New London neighborhoods. Comfortable beds in a quiet neighborhood to relax or to get some work done.
