The staff were very helpful, making sure that i had a downstairs room because of mobility issues (the lift was out of service).

Great place, exactly what we needed for our roadside stop on the way from Scotland down to the SE of England. Excellent facilities- a real treat to have a swim and gym after a long drive. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful- I was erroneously charged twice for the stay due to a mix up by Expedia, but this was resolved quickly and efficiently by one of the receptionists at the hotel (also really refreshing in a big international hotel chain to be able to call up and speak to staff at the hotel directly, instead of an international call centre).

For a simple one night stop, the staff was very accommodating. The hotel was very calm which was very appreciated after a long day of travelling

Great
1 night stay to attend wedding nearby. We were 6no of us staying. Lovely staff, beds are so comfy, breakfast was great with lots of choice for everyone. Slight niggle, the bar wasn't open after 12pm whereas at other holiday inn's this differs, however we still used the communal areas at the staff's consent. We watched the superbowl and ordered a takeaway, and generally enjoyed a great end with friends to what was a fab day overall. Can't complain in the slightest. Please dont let the 70's looking exterior put you off, it more than makes up for it inside!!

Welcoming and clean
Quiet location plenty of parking, warm welcome at reception, nice spacious clean rooms with nice facilities, good restaurant onsite with a lovely Burger 😀 nice set out at breakfast, will stay again

A pretty good stay.
We had a lovely stay - really enjoyed the pool although found the air very cold in the swimming pool. Restaurant staff were great - reception staff quite frosty. Generally the room was great. No mirror by a chair so had to dry my hair on the floor which is annoying. Only one robe and one kit Kat for a premium double room was odd. But things were sorted when we asked.

Fantastic hotel and highly recommend, with very freindly helpful staff fom checking to checking out. Hotel and room whete immaculately clean and we enjoyed a evening meal which was ok. Only downside its a bit far out from civilisation and limited public transport you have to rely on taxis and outways saving on hotel if you are wantung city center activities.

Great location, friendly welcome and clean, modern room. Only disappointment was the breakfast. We paid in advance and were looking forward to a full breakfast. Very busy (hotel must have known they had a bus trip and many other guests) No room in restaurant, so we were asked if we would take a table at reception/bar. Teas, toast and breakfast were cold by the time we’d taken them from restaurant to our table. No salt or pepper, so again, had to walk to kitchen to get these. Cold area to sit - every time the front door opened, a blast of cold air hit us. Kitchen didn’t seem to cope - no fried eggs for approx 20 mins. We would stay here again, but are definitely disappointed that we paid so much for an inferior breakfast.

This is the best HI we've ever stayed in! It was recommended by friends that live in the area. They picked us up and brought us back each day so we didn't need local transportation. There's not much within walking distance that I noticed. The location was convenient to get to major motorways for sightseeing. Will stay here again when we return to visit our friends.

Great value property with easy access to A1. The pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room were fabulous. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The whole hotel was clean and modern. Highly recommend if you have a car as it is much better value than hotels in the city or with Metro access.
