A convenient location for an event we were attending, but that’s about it. Looks incredibly grand from the outside and reception area but once out of the lift upstairs, everything was tired and dated. We booked a King room, which was small and stuffy. The window didn’t open and the air conditioner was broken. A sign taped to it said we could request a fan from reception. There was a large stain on the ceiling which looked like it could have been a leak, the bath had a large chip in the enamel and the plug hole was rust stained. Check in and out, receptionist wasn’t very friendly. Disappointed there wasn’t an option for early check in as 3pm is quite late when you arrive for a day out. Parking was expensive with only a handful of spaces.
Overall, the stay wasn’t worth the £149 we paid, which was more than double for what is advertised now…. When I looked at our room today it was priced at £60.
