Our stay at Le Saint Paul.was surprisingly very very positive.
The inital call to make a booking was a bit surprising as the lady at reception in my viee expressed very little patience or care in securing my booking..
She said she had trouble with my name and after attempting to walk her through with spelling my name she said is too complicated. So i offered to book online to which she reaponded : Ok if you want.." btw, my name.is one of the most common female names, just that in french its with 1 "l" & 1 "e".
Since on property parking was mandatory we resorted unusually to the 3* Stay. A few hours later we arrived to check in and met the most charming individual called Andrea. OMG! What a gem. He was so patient amd kind, thoroughly professional and went on to support us woth unforgettable guest experiences.
He, Andrea has really saved our day, the hotel's reputation and the now postive review we are writing.
Parking was as described onproperty which is rare in Nice along the waterfront. The location is amazing and a comfortable walk in to the old town and to the Marina.
Breakfast is basic, but was good enough. The room is very compact but clean.
Overall, the 2 nights experience was memorable. Thanks a lot to Andrea for turning around what could otherwise have been a negative review.
