The check-in and check-out process was very unprofessional. We provided a specific arrival time when booking to Bocobay Rentals, yet when we arrived, the cleaning crew was still working, forcing us to wait outside in the sun for about 30 minutes. Check-out was set for 10 a.m., and despite multiple requests for a later check-out—especially given it was January 1st—this was denied. We checked out on time, but no one arrived to clean the villa or collect the keys.
Throughout our stay, the bathrooms frequently smelled like sewage, with the odour spreading into the rooms and forcing us to keep the AC running at all times. The biggest issue, however, was the lack of support from management. On our last day, one of the air conditioners leaked and completely soaked a mattress being used by two guests. We contacted management at 5 p.m. asking for help so the guests could sleep comfortably, but they only left replacement bedsheets and pillowcases. Despite clearly explaining that the mattress and pillows themselves were wet and needed to be replaced, we received no further assistance beyond being told our feedback was “noted.” As a result, the guests had to share other beds, with three people sleeping in a room meant for two.
