Overall, this is a nice property with great views and a solid location. The home itself is attractive and clearly intended to be a higher end rental, with amenities that justify a premium price point when they work.We specifically searched for homes with a hot tub, so discovering upon arrival that the advertised hot tub was not working, with no advance notice, was especially disappointing. We understand that things can break, but at this price point, proactive communication matters.Unfortunately, several other advertised amenities were also unusable or poorly maintained. The theater recliners were largely broken, and we found fingernails under one of the cup holders. The projector in the theater area had no remote. The ping pong paddles and balls were broken so our kids could not play, and the darts for the dartboard were unusable. The downstairs shower barely worked. The basement had a noticeable sewage smell. The back deck leading to the fire pit had not been shoveled. The thermostat was locked at 70, limiting comfort, and there were no instructions provided for using the sauna.We reached out to the owner/operator, Vacasa, immediately upon arrival to address several of these issues and did not receive any response during our stay.We are annual renters in the area and would have liked for this to become a recurring rental for our families, but the lack of maintenance, communication, and responsiveness made that unlikely.
